The Mahoney scandal has reached the Balkans. I would be willing to bet that this level of corruption in local government would not be tolerated in the Republic of Croatia. He would be fleeing for his life and his house would be burned to the ground. Mobs of angry tax payers would gather at the local government building with torches demanding that he be executed because their region didn't recieve relief aid.
