Palm Beach businessman wanted on murder charge, faces extradition to England

Palm Beach entrepreneur Thanos Papalexis, a silver-tongued Greece-born Brit whose ill-fated business ventures left a trail of unpaid bills here, is wanted in London on a conspiracy to commit murder charge.
Papalexis, 35, was arrested by U.S. marshals on a “provisional warrant” Friday as he and a galpal lunched at the terrace of Fire Rock Pizza in downtown West Palm Beach. He now faces extradition to England. The arrest occurred without incident, according to eyewitnesses.
Wayne Pickering, supervisory deputy at the West Palm marshals office, confirmed that his men had been discreetly tailing the suspect.
“The warrant was issued Friday, and we picked him up right away,” Pickering said. “The request came from the United Kingdom, and he is a suspect in a homicide. He is at the county jail until a decision is made about his extradition.”
Although there was no confirmation from authorities early Monday, former employees of one of the Bentley-driving Papalexis failed fractional ownership schemes, Vita Luxury, say they became suspicious when Papalexis told them he couldn’t return to Europe.
“There was a rumor someone turned up dead on the construction site of one of his developments in London,” said Brian Eisenberg. Eisenberg was a marketing director at Vita but quit in the summer. “But everybody thought it was just a rumor.”
Eisenberg said he quit after Papalexis failed to show up for the filming of a pilot for a new reality show about starting of Vita.
In the four years since he moved here, Papalexis made many friends among Palm Beach’s elite.
Papalexis’ shining moment came in January when he hosted former President Bill Clinton for a Hillary fund-raiser at his beachfront home in Manalapan.
Problem is the home wasn’t really Papalexis’. And the real homeowner, Michael Cantor, claimed Papalexis wasn’t even paying the rent on time.

I, like most of you, shared the same experience at the same time most of you who posted did. We all know what type of human being he was. The good news is obviously the news he is in custody and wont have the opportunity to screw any more good, honest people. People who gave up other careers, industries, and dedicated their best effort to a product and service that was all sizzle and no bacon. Thanos deceived ALL of us. The amount of money he owes is staggering.
The terrible news out of all this would be the alleged murder victim and their family. I always new the law would catch up with him. Whether is be fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, embezzlement, along with a bevy of civil judgments he cant run faster than the law. As we bash Thanos, and completely justified mind you as I am a total hater of him, but through all this just say a prayer for the victim and that persons family who’s loved one was murdered.
He will get what he deserves.

I have been following this story with mild amusement at best. I met Thanos & his staff at a Vita Luxury promotional event hosted at the Manalapan estate. I can tell you that this Brian Eisenburgh was nothing more than a valet at this event. He was delegated to parking my vehicle. On a subsequent sales outing, Brian was in a gofers role, fetching & running errands of no importance. Anyone could see that Mr Papalexis had surrounded himself with overpayed & underqualified individuals who looked up to him & wanted nothing more than to bask in the limelight of his luxurious lifestyle, illusion or not. Scam artist, most likely. Unethical, probably. But shame on you Brian for being so desperate for the acceptance that you never received from his “inner circle” that you publicly persecute him now. You could have and should have resigned at the first sign of unethical dealings. You stayed because you wanted to. This makes you an accomplice to these ill fated business dealings. From everything I have found on Thanos it appears there are multiple other dealings where he is being sued or accused of unethical/criminal dealings. If anyone out there has any information on previous dealings other than VITA I would appreciate the posting.
Yet another Vita investor, that has lost everything, by believing that investment groups like Lifestyle investments Enterprise,LLC know who the hell their doing business with, what happened to due diligence?
