It was the icing on this weekend’s cake.

A giant Victoria’s Secret show closed the grand opening weekend of the expanded classic Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach.Friday night’s supper for 1,500-plus lured some of this country’s biggest stars to the Morris Lapidus-designed resort, including actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson, actors James Caan and Robert Duvall as well as songbird Mariah Carey and domestic diva Martha Stewart.

And Saturday night’s finale filled the runway with 35-plus supermodels, including Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima and Karolina Kurkova. Some of the 35 models wore wings. They showed lingerie and bathing suits and negligees, including a $5 million-diamond-encrusted bra. Oh, yes. Hip-hop superstar Usher entertained.

Debbie Harry, frontwoman of the rock band Blondie, seemed to feel no pain. But she did tell The Associated Press: “The show, it’s based on lingerie, but it’s about creating an event. It’s just a big, wild extravaganza and I think that’s what attracts me.”
