Madonna rocks Dolphin Stadium, and A-Rod’s world
It’s already billed as the first official outing of Madonna and A-Rod as a couple.
The Material Girl’s Sticky and Sweet show at Dolphin Stadium Wednesday night kicked off two hours late (because of traffic, the official line goes), but when the first riffs rang out in the sold-out stadium, the soon-to-be-divorced Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez was front and center.
And Madonna sang to him, locking eyes with the big third baseman as she intoned You Must Love Me.
Scattered in the stagefront crowd: Palm Beach rocker Rod Stewart and Latin songbird Paulina Rubio.

Good Lord, a woman that ugly should be arrested for indecent exposure. Sticky and Sweet?! More like Skanky and Scraggly! Woof.
To use the words “Madonna” and “rocks” in the same sentence is an oxymoron.
Shame on the Post for publishing the pornographic pose posted on the front/home page! Any of the other photos of Madonna would have been the wiser choice. Yuck!
Saw a large gray and black bus driving around the Mirasol Walk Plaza west of the turnpike and on PGA Boulevard. When it stopped, several young women got out next to the front door of the bus. Saw a large screen TV in the rear of the bus too. This was around 6:30 PM when the Madonna concert was to have started at 7:30 PM. Don’t know if this was the Material Girl’s road bus or not but funny it should be there at about the same time she was to have been on stage at Dolphin Stadium.
John Q PUblic is correct…She is nasty..Not inagood way..Yukkk

The show was actually 2 1/2 hours late, starting at about 10 p.m. Not a single announcement was made, and Madonna didn’t say a word about the late start. Her fans are INCREDIBLY loyal and were happily drinking $8 beers and eating $5 pretzels and peanuts for the 2 1/2 hour delay, though. Announcements would have been welcomed… every time we went to the bathroom, during the 2 1/2 hour wait, we wondered, AM I GOING TO MISS THE START OF THE SHOW NOW?? It still rocked, but I felt bad for the folks who had kids at home with babysitters. When the show finally started, I realized that if it had started on time, it would have already ended by 10 pm!!
Parking $30, tickets $175, a magarita $18…was an outragously expensive night! Enjoyed but will NEVER do it again.
Shows never start on time so stop the complaining! She looked great put on a awsome show and had some great special guest! Would do it 10 more times! Wish she added a 2nd Miami night would be there!
Michele is right. The show, which was supposed to start at 7:30pm, started at 10pm. My group and I canceled our dinner plans because we were afraid to miss the beginning of the show…come 9:30, I went to guest relations to complain and was told that her camp had told the stadium that she’ll come out when she’s ready to..then to yell out “I’m not sorry, motherf$$$$$!” during her performance of “I’m Not Sorry” in the first set was tasteless…good thing she has loyal fans, with the kind of behavior, I’m surprised if she can roll like that for another 5 years.
This was the fourth Madonna performance that I attended. Every single one started late and every single one was extravagant in price, from the ticket, to parking, and even food and drink. But, never once did I regret attending. Madonna is an amazing performer, no one can deny that. She has been creating albums and touring since the ’80’s. I can not name any other single artist who has made such an impact. For those of you who like to make negative comments, I just feel sorry for you because you all sound like a really fun group to be around…! I always enjoy watching her shows, as do many of her fans. It is a shame that some people choose to spend useless energy complaining about it, when they should have spent it having an awesome time, like the other thousands of people that did. It takes more energy to be negative and mean spirited.
I can’t wait to see her live but she sure moved on quick!
I just hope when the divorce is finalized she sells off the diamond engagement ring Guy Ritchie gave her to http://www.idonowidont.com and closes the chapter on that failed marriage, which is what I did when I divorced my husband!
I have to admit though A-Rod is cute but I can’t believe he’s already going to her tours front and center now!
This was only my second time seeing Madonna in concert, but I’ve been a fan since the early days. Madonna invented being a Diva. I enjoyed her more in the smaller Miami Arena, as her show really invites you into her boudoir, with all the antics and gyrations on stage. It’s not disappointing in any way. Someone commented to me that “All Madonna fans know she never starts on time.” Well, I didn’t know, and I’ve been a fan for as long as I can remember. Divas will be Divas, though… she came to Miami, she had her way with us for over an hour, and when it was all over, the lights came right on, as if to say, “I’m done with you, now get out.” We were still not disappointed and will probably go to the next show. An hour late. Cheers!!
ok, lay off the madonna. she has all the right to be as late as she wants. i like to see you at 50 in shape, uber sexy and centered, not to mention the list of male suiters that have rocked her world of the years. i would not expect anything less from madge. fashionability tardy is very 2009.
I am go grateful that not one dime of my income ever has propped that overhyped washed out Detroit battleax whore and her career.
But now I know where the lemmings hang out…
