Finally the most famous Dillon, Kevin Dillon, aka Johnny Drama in the HBO hit series Entourage, materialized in South Florida last weekend. The 43-year-old eyed beauties half his age at the nightclub Set in Miami Beach and even crashed the DJ’s booth.

Richard Mùth of Fiore Fine Men's Wear in Palm Beach, holds a Kiton cashmere sport coat on consignment for Robert Jaffe. According to Mùth, the coat would typically sell for around $5,000 on Worth Avenue. Fiore has the jacket listed for $895.

At least, the Bernie Madoff scandal in Palm Beach has been good for some store owners.

And for shoppers whose taste for Chanel and Armani don’t match their paychecks.

Consignment stores on both sides of the Intracoastal have seen a surge in business of late.

Some attribute it to the economic downturn. Others say the many Palm Beachers ruined by accused Ponzi schemer Madoff, possibly more than 100 families, are selling clothes and furniture and art in the hope of making a quick buck – even if a consignment sale traditionally nets the seller a fraction of what an item was worth.

OMG! It’s deja vu at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise.

Guitarist Angus Young, who’s now 53, and lead singer Brian Johnson belt out Hell’s Bells at the hockey arena Saturday night. The head-banging Aussie band is on the tail end of its U.S. Black Ice tour. The hard rockers head to Europe early next year.

Layne Nisenbaum (left) and Mark Foley.

Disgraced former U.S. Rep. Mark Foley has been thrown out of better places, I’m sure, and not just because of the heinous plaid jacket he wore.

Foley and his lover, dermatologist Layne Nisenbaum, were unceremoniously bounced from the Cartier Christmas party on Palm Beach’s Worth Avenue earlier this month.

Two eyewitnesses told Page2Live that Foley, who resigned from his congressional seat two years ago after he was caught e-mailing sweet nothings to young pages, was actually just an innocent bystander in a squabble between society skin-smoother Nisenbaum and an unidentified partygoer.

Palm Beach socialite Tina Flaherty blazed a trail for women in business, shattering the 1960s glass ceilings at blue-chip places like Colgate-Palmolive and GTE, then writing best-sellers about it.

Now, because she made good money, she’s blazing another trail, one less glorious.

Unlike most women in high-stakes society divorces here, she’s the one who’s going to end up paying a load of cash to her now-ex husband, metal industrialist Bill Flaherty. (Read more…)

Beyond the financial fallouts in Palm Beach of the Bernie Madoff scandal, the very social fabric of The Island may find itself altered forever.

Formerly rich families will be uprooted.

Former friends are at each other’s throats.

While Realtors are lining up to grab the expected sales of mansions whose owners lost the millions they invested with the disgraced Wall Street big, one scene at Mar-a-Lago Saturday night illustrates the tension.

Several eyewitnesses at the 60th birthday party for carpet king John Stark tell me that two of the major players in this scandal came face-to-face.

Forget the unattainable dream at the Port of Palm Beach of bringing cruise ships.

Who needs Carnival when you have something that looks nearly as big – one the world’s largest private superyacht.

Octopus, the 416-foot monster built in 2003 for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, pulled into the port Friday afternoon. (Read more…)
