Patching up with the wife? Mahoney and Martin paramour still an item

She was unmasked as one of the numerous women in the sex-soaked life of the very married U.S. Rep. Tim Mahoney. But that didn’t keep Martin County engineering official Kim Roden from a Christmas romp with the man whose philandering caused his political crash.
According to fresh paperwork in Mahoney’s divorce file, wife of 23 years Terry is accusing her man of spending marital cash to take Roden on a Dec. 22 trip to the Mahoneys’ romantic mountain hideaway in Canada.
Terry also accuses the Democratic politico of taking Roden, 50, a leggy head-turner who’s been working for the county for 20 years, to ski in Calgary, Alberta.
This, mind you, as Tim’s latest divorce filing asks for a three-month hiatus in the process so that he and Terry could attend counseling and reconcile.
And this, according to the documents, after Mahoney failed to deposit money on a joint account used by homemaker Terry to stay afloat.
As of today, the representative’s reconciliation plan has not been implemented.
Mahoney’s relationship with Roden caused controversy in October, as the congressman’s affairs were made public during a nasty campaign for the seat against eventual winner Tom Rooney.
The Engineering Department’s operations manager, Roden has been avoiding the press like a shameful disease. Little can be gleaned about her personal life from public records, except that she is a director of her Palm City homeowners association at The Villas. She owns a $380,000 home there.
As a government official, however, expense records show Roden liberally used Mahoney’s nascent pull in the U.S. Congress to secure $3.4 million for Martin County hurricane cleanup.
For the past two years, according to county employees travel papers, Roden travelled to Washington, D.C. more than six times, each time using county dough, and each time meeting Mahoney.
At one point, she returned from the nation’s capital on a Sunday at midnight. Mahoney was on the same PBIA-bound flight.
Rumors about the hookup haunted county hall in Stuart as early as February. It’s on Dec. 31 that county bosses confirmed the relationship and suspended Roden for three days without pay.
Neither Mahoney nor Roden could be contacted for comment.
Martin County is as corrupt as Dade and Broward. And now, a brand new set of crooks was just put into office. Why, when county employees are being laid off and tax rates keep going up, are county employees spending millions travelling around the country?
