Madonna’s in da house
Madonna, who’s been practicing her horse-jumping skills in Wellington for a week, made her first appearance at the Winter Equestrian Festival Sunday.
She watched professional show-jumpers for nearly two hours from her third-row $35,000-per-season table at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center’s VIP club.
The Material Girl managed to go practically incognito behind thick dark glasses and under an orange baseball hat with a Che Guevara-like silhouette of her on the front.
The few fans who recognized the singer of Papa Don’t Preach were shooed away by show ground owner Mark Bellissimo’s red-shirted goons.
Minding their own business at nearby tables: Morning talk-show host Kelly Ripa (Live with Regis and Kelly) and CNN prime-timer Lou Dobbs.

Wait…it looks like she’s trying to disguise herself…by wearing…a Madonna hat???

I would have loved to have gotten a glimpse of Madonna. I wouldn’t have bothered her, I just think it would be awesome to see her out in the world. Love the hat!
Wearing clothing with your own face printed on it? Tacky! This is the most self-absorbed woman in the world.
I have seen Kelly Ripa talk about Madonna on her show, she saw her at the MSgardens and Madonna handed her the mic during the sing a long, she’s a HUGE fan and went on and on about having seen her in concert about dozen times, I bet she was dying to run over!
Instead of looking at her, look how her hand is strategically placed over boy toy JESUS’S FACE!!!
She reminds me that American Life is a good album!
MILES AWAY is the latest single. Please download from iTunes or amazon.com!
gotta say that the woman looks pretty good for her old age…not a fan, but i like some of her new stuff like that justim timberlake duet
Horse sports are great when the country is NOT in a terrible recession, when there are plenty of money to spend, not people losing their homes, cars, not being able to send their kids to good schools since public schools sucks, have one meal when they arrive from work…well, the ones that still have a job… but for how long? I have a friend who feed her horses much better than her Mexican maid, she gives her leftovers instead of a hot meal. Now there are layoffs all over US, retail business being badly hit (look at the malls nearby, retail stores closed), high cost of living, empty buildings, rising unemployment, homeless, foreclosures all over. It seems that people in the region never read the newspapers, they are in deep trouble too. Think about the poor, the rising unemployment not selfish people that do not care about others, just sell real estate.
Realtytrac.com? Try to sell your home and you’ll be shocked. Try to get a loan. Horses, dogs, have been abandoned in many states, left to die, the first thing to go when families had no money to pay their monthly bills. And I hope you have a perfect health plan and do not need to find a retirement home for an elderly relative, you’ll be broke soon.
People forget how many families have nothing to eat, no job opportunities, no hope..If an equestrian festival with a 50 year old celebrity is going to help S. Florida economy, stop the foreclosures, improve sales, stop the frozen credit, save BofA, Citi, Merryl, let us know. Sorry but maybe the place in a couple of years will be another white elephant rotting in the sun thanks to a rampaging recession…
The world is in turmoil, even the rich are scared, worried - wake up, think about your future, the future of our country, this is too serious, ladies.
Did you ever stop & think about all the jobs that are created by WEF being in S.Florida. There are many people who’s livelyhood depends on this show every year. Not to mention all the jobs that the horse industry creates.
This show also helps our economy in S. Florida, all the people that come here for 3 months to show spend money in the area. Whether it be at the grocery store, dry cleaners, restaurants, home rentals etc.
Yes, there are serious issues in our country that need to be addressed. Most having to do with the economy. That’s why people showing is actually a good thing as it puts money back into the economy.
I agree with you but after the festival ends, those people you are mentioning will be worrying for the rest of the year, struggling with their foreclosures, bankruptcies, failed retail business as shown in the newspapers, or maybe trying to sell their homes and relocate, we are dealing with problems since last year, I’ve tried three good realtors, I can’t sell my properties, I’m stuck in Fla. Worries me reading that two million are unemployed, more will join the list next week. What is going to happen next year no one knows. Three months won’t pay people’s debts,I am talking about the ones who waited for the festival to earn some money and move on, some neighbours can not afford the cost of living anymore and will join the exodus soon, look how many nice homes are being sold or foreclosured. I’m glad there are rich people that can afford many servants, expensive club memberships, nice horses but owners in many states with sick or injured horses can no longer afford to care for, can’t afford to ship to Mexico or Canada for slaughter and can no longer sell, end up neglecting the horses or abandoning them as many are doing with their pets, sometimes on public land, a felony. Meanwhile, the number of horses sent to those countries for processing has skyrocketed, their future is uncertain, its plight is part of a national trend of increasing horse abandonment cited by livestock, agricultural and animal control officials in Nevada, Montana, Arkansas, California, all over US and the economy worsens each day. The cost of feeding and caring for horses rises, more people are abandoning their animals into the wild, where many starve and die a slow and painful death, can’t you see? Equine charities have the same problem, people needs to pay their mortgages, credit cards, car payments, lots of bills, now they think twice before donating. I wish people could put money back into the economy last year instead, a lot of foreclosures are left in ruins due to people who break in, how many fancy malls, stores are closed now, Courts clogged with many lawsuits, people buying fewer groceries, using coupons, homeless in every city, major four US banks are insolvent. I hope is not too late. Bye, have fun during the festival, plan your future and I wish you can bring me good news next year.
I wonder when the “singer/performer” english countryside resident is planning on showing her children her publicity stunt walking down the side of a busy highway wearing NOTHING but a pair of high heels. Or the “SEX” book of hers, she must be very proud… explain THAT to impressionable children you are supposed to be setting an example for.
She must be very proud.
However, living in the english countryside, attending high society events do not change her public examples of trashy behaviour for a $.
She must be expecting a “mother of the year award”, I doubt it will happen though, class is class and pretending to be something she is not just won’t fly.
