Update: I requested a press pass from the Miami Heat for Tuesday’s game against Denver. I told Heat officials I wanted to talk to Dwyane Wade after the game to give him a chance to defend himself. Response from the team: No way, Jose!
A former business partner of Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade is telling Page2Live that he saw remnants of sex parties at a Miami Beach apartment used by the married Wade and his entourage.
What’s more, says Euro blue-blood Baron Richard Von Houtman, he witnessed on two occasions Wade puffing away on marijuana cigarettes, once with a teammate.

And in 2007, Von Houtman made sure an embarrassing traffic accident that Wade caused in his Maybach would be kept hush-hush.
Wade’s publicist, Lisa Joseph, e-mailed this statement Monday afternoon: “It’s a shame that a disgruntled former business associate is peddling these fairy tales to fit his own personal agenda.”
Von Houtman’s revelations come as the image of perfection that Wade has been building since his 2003 arrival into the NBA is being shattered. He remains one of the league’s most popular players the world over, and he’s headed to the All-Star Game in Phoenix Sunday.

But his soon-to-be-ex wife, Siohvaughn, recently claimed in a motion made in their divorce case in their native Chicago that her hubby of eight years gave her an undisclosed STD caught outside the marriage. She also said Wade, who was known as one of the most religious Heat players, abandoned her and their two sons.
Wade’s attorney in the divorce, Jim Pritkin, called the claims false and said Monday that Siohvaughn withdrew the motion that included the accusations.
No matter, says Von Houtman, what the public sees in Wade just isn’t there.
“The man isn’t what people worldwide think he is,” Von Houtman said Sunday in an extensive interview. “He and his friends are just a bunch of idiots. I mean, I’m in Chicago at a charity party in 2007, and weed is being passed around and Wade takes a hit. In front of everybody.
“I got sucked into doing business with him because he has a first-class media persona, the new Michael Jordan. He was that good guy, father-of-the-year, celebrity who had his head on his shoulder. I found out after a year he was not like that.”

Von Houtman says that, for most of 2007 and into 2008, he rented for $20,000 a $1.7 million, two-story apartment in the Spear Building on Miami Beach’s Allison Island. He turned it over to Wade and his childhood friend Marcus Andrews to use as headquarters for their marketing company, Wade Global Enterprises. Business, however, may not have been all that took place there.
“It was a four-bedroom place on the first floor of a high-rise,” said Von Houtman, who through 2007 met with Wade and/or Andrews almost daily. “One day, I got a call from my cleaning crew at the apartment. I went down there and what I saw was disgusting. The apartment was trashed, filthy, and it wasn’t the first time.”
Von Houtman described used condoms on the floor of the bedrooms, obvious signs of sexual activities on all the beds, empty champagne and hard-liquor bottles, nearly-finished blunts and half-eaten food rotting on tables and furniture.
“They’d have these parties in there two or three times a week,” Von Houtman said. “There were always dozens of people in there. Rappers, Dwyane and his entourage, women they’d pick up in clubs.”
Even though commodities trader Von Houtman was never invited, he said he was told several times Wade attended most of the wild shindigs. At times, Dwyane came with galpal and C-list dwelling actress Gabrielle Union.
“They (Wade and Andrews) both made it clear to me how their goal in life is to have sex with as many women as possible,” Von Houtman said.
Von Houtman, 62, has the face of a drill sergeant and body of a diminutive Arnold Schwarzenegger. His parents were heirs to a Dutch food fortune.
A resident of both Boca and Fort Lauderdale, Von Houtman says he befriended the Olympic hero in late 2006 when a friend of his, West Palm Beach restaurant developer Mark Rodberg, introduced them.
Soon, the trio signed an agreement to develop a national restaurant chain named D. Wade’s Place. They also agreed to invest in a chain of charter schools ran by the Fort Lauderdale-based Mavericks in Education. D. Wade’s Schools would cater to dropouts.
“He was given 10 percent of the shares,” said Von Houtman about the schools. “And another $100,000 cash because he promised to bring in Shaq (his then teammate Shaquille O’Neal). Of course, we should’ve known Dwyane had no influence on Shaq.”
Von Houtman said the school is trying to get rid of Wade in the wake of the divorce allegations.
And the restaurant chain collapsed after its first two restaurants, in Boca and Fort Lauderdale, closed within weeks of opening. Two lawsuits have been filed in Miami-Dade against Wade and Marcus and their company. Wade is accused of not fulfilling his contractual obligations.
Wade’s people have claimed that the investors had no clue on how to run a restaurant.
“Dwyane and Marcus would show up in the Fort Lauderdale location and round up the waitresses they thought were pretty. They’d disappear with them, leaving the restaurant short-staffed,” Von Houtman said. “They were sexual harassment lawsuits waiting to happen.
“Dwayne wanted us to built a VIP room in the Aventura branch (which never opened) that would be totally segregated, with its own bathroom and chaise-lounges. For what? We were serving food, not sex.”
There’s no doubt that Von Houtman has an ax to grind. He also has a police record that includes domestic violence and resisting arrest.
And he freely admits to unsuccessfully trying to get 25 percent of Wade Global.
D. Wade, driving while texting?
Besides Wade, he says, has yet has to pay him back the $6,800 Von Houtman spent to have a woman’s Mercedes repaired in September 2007. Wade ploughed his Maybach into that car on A1A in Aventura – while texting.
“We didn’t want this to get out, so I just sent the lady a check,” Von Houtman said.
The women, Reva Roiter, confirmed the story.
“My daughter was at a traffic light when she was hit,” Roiter said. “Dwyane seemed like a nice enough guy. We made it easy for him.”
Von Houtman said he worked on several projects with Wade, including fancy car rims with Wade’s No. 3 jersey on it, a clothing line, perfume and sunglasses. Nothing took off, possibly costing Von Houtman millions.
“But I’m not really bitter,” Von Houtman said. “I just want people to know what it’s like to go into business with this person.
“I think he signed on with us because he was injured and he thought his career was gone. Then when he came back stronger, he figured he wouldn’t need us.”

Dwyane Wade has long been a classy guy; a point that he proved, once again, on Wednesday when he helped a South Florida family in need.
Dawn Smith’s house burned down recently in an accidental fire started by Smith’s nephew. In the fire all of the family’s possessions were lost.
That’s where Wade comes in.
Having heard about the local tragedy, Wade bought the family a new house and presented it to them on Christmas Eve. He also partially furnished the home and provided the family with clothing so that they can enjoy Christmas at home this year.
In addition to the new house for Dawn Smith, Wade hosted a variety of charity events this week including a party for 350 children on Monday and a night out for 100 more kids at the Heat-Warriors game on Tuesday.
