Dwyane Wade has long been a classy guy; a point that he proved, once again, on Wednesday when he helped a South Florida family in need.

Dawn Smith’s house burned down recently in an accidental fire started by Smith’s nephew. In the fire all of the family’s possessions were lost.

That’s where Wade comes in.

Having heard about the local tragedy, Wade bought the family a new house and presented it to them on Christmas Eve. He also partially furnished the home and provided the family with clothing so that they can enjoy Christmas at home this year.

In addition to the new house for Dawn Smith, Wade hosted a variety of charity events this week including a party for 350 children on Monday and a night out for 100 more kids at the Heat-Warriors game on Tuesday.

Come on now…undoubtedly his manager/handlers saw those things as opportunities to create good PR.
