It sounds like they are dickering over 50% of the $227,000. In the state of FL, each party gets half, so she much want half of the $227k. Based on the # of motions, etc. on the docket, between the 2 attorneys they’ve billed probably at least $50k each. So who wins? The attorneys. These 2 people would do better economically for both of them settling and moving on. The attorneys initiate the conflict to generate additional fees. Alex Baldwin’s book is excellent about how the attorneys keep the 2 parties ‘in the pit’ so the billing and continue.

The attorneys are going to win. Attorneys for both sides get paid and both husband and wife are less all of that money. Read Alec Baldwin’s book about divorce. It talks about how the attorneys get and keep the parties in “the pit” so they can bill and bill and bill. Creating conflict increases fees.

But did anyone notice that Ted Stevens conviction was overturned because of prosecutorial misconduct? I didn’t think so. I hope Stevens sues the DOJ for this facist bull. On that note, I hope Mahoney is left penniless.
