Grease sweetheart Olivia Newton-John has found a love-nest for her and her chosen one, Amazon herb peddler John Easterling.

Jupiter Inlet Colony, say hello to your new, famous neighbors!

Newton-John and Easterling earlier this month signed on the dotted line, and wrote a check for $4.1 million without needing a mortgage broker, for a property in the tiny community in the shadow of the famous Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse.

According to property records, the couple’s 1997 Intracoastal home covers about 7,000 square feet, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, and a dock.

The lovebird bought from the town’s third-term mayor, John Zuccarelli.

“As the mayor, we’re very happy to have them,” Zuccarelli said. “Everyone who’s met them, including the neighbors, has been impressed with how nice they are. We welcome them with open arms.”

The Aussie actress and Easterling, a modern day adventurer, were hitched on the beach in Jupiter last year, and have been searching high and low of their dream home while staying in Easterling’s cramped home in Tequesta.

Their house-hunting was marred by an incident in which they were accused of reneging on a contract to buy a $2.25 million-home in the nearby Heritage Oaks neighborhood. The lawsuit against the actress and singer of Xanadu is pending in a Martin County court.

In the Colony, however, everything went smoothly.

“I always made sure this house was a little different from the rest,” Zuccarelli said. “I made it comfortable without making it look ostentatious. It’s a wide open floor plan that’s dog friendly. It’s got a tin roof and with the blue color on the outside, it looks a lot like a Key West home.”

And Hizzoner, 55, made a couple of bucks, too. He bought the place in 1995 for $730,000 and had it rebuilt.

Newton-John joins other celebs within a two-mile radius, including Nashville star Alan Jackson. Deceased country icon Tammy Wynette and the passed on crooner Perry Como lived nearby and, until recently, so did former New York Governor George Pataki.

I find it ironic that the most famous resident of JIC was not even mentioned. Perry Como who resided at 93 Lighthouse Drive for a very long time. He also lived on the ocean side of JIC for many years before moving to the intracoastal side.

Don’t see the irony. Perry Commo’s residence has previously been noted as have many others. I don’t understand why you would see it necessary to mention this information anytime a well known person is recognized as purchasing in the area.

What is the next to last paragraph about? Who is Hizzoner? What 1995 purchase? The subject home was built in 1997.

Hizzoner was referring to john zuccarelli the previous owner and his mayorialship.

It looks like the property was bought in 1995 and finished being built in 1997. I also did some research in the property records, it looks like Mr. and Mrs. Easterling obtained a mortgage for the home for 2.5 Million dollars. I’m not sure what type of mortgage. Congrats!!!

Congratulations ~..~ I have lived in South Florida since the early 1950’s and while it has grown tremendously ( …south of your new home ), Jupiter is still a wonderful location and I am sure you will be happy in your new home. Another quaint city is Sebastian, where there are fewer people yet and hospitality is everywhere.

People are trying to figure out how to pay their bills and you wealthy, cheap, entitled people are congratulating them for what!?

To the attention of “Fed Up”…..I am neither “wealthy” and/or “cheap” and/or “entitled” and I would be surprised if many of the other commenters are either. I happen to be a struggling single adult who has been laid off for several months, and living miles away in a modest WPB community. Although my circumstances/concerns may be similar to yours, our attitudes are certainly not! (Your cynical “Fed Up” signature suggests a lot..) And when did being wealthy-however you define it-become synonomous with the negative attributes you suggest? Many financially wealthy people-including Olivia Newton-John-have achieved success through sheer talent and decades of hard work. Olivia has also suffered heartache in her personal life, and the physical challenge of beating cancer. She has used that struggle to evolve into an uplifting role model for those faced with the disease and will be a positive force for our local American Cancer Society or whatever community organizations she chooses to support. As someone who is a native Australian and could presumably choose any community in the world to call home, I am thrilled that she has found love and happiness at 60 and honored that she would choose a home here in Palm Beach County. In my previous non-profit experience, I came to know and work with many in her new Jupiter Inlet Colony community. I found the lifestyle and people there to be unpretentions, friendly, and fiercely protective of the privacy of their more famous celebrity neighbors in this surprisingly ungated enclave bordering the ocean, inlet and Intracoastal. “Fed Up” would have been surprised to see what I did - many “wealthy” JIC residents personally participating in volunteer beach cleanups, fully appreciate of the beauty of their surroundings and not shy about getting their hands dirty to protect it. So let me echo the congratulatory sentiments expressed to John and Olivia for finding happiness in our corner of paradise!

YOU GO MELISSA! Yo, Fed Up, take your negativity and shove it up your a$$! Jealous people like you need to move or be exorcised to Cleveland somewhere…

Let Fed Up go west, we don’t want him in Ohio…

I am not jealous you greedy material b*tches! Your rude and self centered like many people here. It is about what is right. The gap between the have and have nots is huge. There should be no hunger or poverty with the disgusting amount of money some of these people have. If “Florduh” is so great why are we at the bottom of almost every catagory?
