The Yanks are in town, beating the Florida Marlins soundly last night in the first game of a three-part weekend series. But the Bronx Bombers’ main attraction, slugger Alex Rodriguez, has been left on the bench to, among other nasty habits, pick his nose and drool sunflower seeds.

Is it really necessary to print pics of him, or anyone for the matter, picking his nose? That is news in some way? Give me a break.

The “NEWS” is that a professional baseball player making 28 million dollars a year (roughly $76,000 a day) is NOT playing because of “fatigue”. Considering that he has played 38 games in 9 months (from last October until today), who amongst us can’t feel his “fatigue”. I think I read someplace that sunflower seeds are excellent for that level of “fatigue”. The real “NEWS” is that most MLB fans are buying this “excuse” for non-performance. I wonder if Lou Gehrig ever didn’t play because of “fatigue”?

He was probably picking a winner…and it ain’t the Palm Beach Post. Jose, weren’t you going to Europe to get a little culture? I guess you can’t make silk out of a pig’s ear.

A totally inapropriate shot at A-Rod. Also, the headline reads “A-Rod Diggs For Gold”. Digs should be spelled with one s. And you call yourself a jounalist.

Sorry, I need to correct my own spelling of inappropriate and journalist.
