Here is the latest communication from behind bars by deposed Palm Beach County Commish Mary McCarty. One of her family members has just e-mailed this to two dozens of her supporters.

McCarty, 54, is serving three-and-a-half years for misusing her county commission seat at the tough Federal Detention Center downtown Miami.
“ Hi Everyone,
We want to thank those of you who have been sending Mary cards and letters. Please remember to include your return address on the envelopes. Also, there have been several requests to visit her while she’s down in Miami and she is only allowed her attorney or Mother at this location.
Thank you again for all your kind notes…with some luck Mary will only be at this location for another month or so before moving to a permanent facility.

Poor, poor Mary. She is not getting half the screwing she gave the tax payer. I sure hope she meets big Bertha!

That’s Claudia Kirk Barto, don’t forget her maiden name or she whack you over the head Jose. You can insert ‘daughter of former Governor Claude Kirk’ if you want, she would love that and has been riding it her whole career. Girl has an ego the size of the Manhattan. She has been taking philanthrophic fundraising to a new low - her methodology is suspect and lacks class at best. Most board members she’s worked with have been the kind who are focused on her vapid attention that is misdirected and not the charity’s cause and mission.
Mary is where she belongs.
She’s so out of touch from the average working person, that she helped make it unaffordable for many people to live in Palm Beach County. It’s as if my lifestyle, and so many others’, and quality of lives were up for the the highest bidder. This was from the woman who once wanted to abolish chain link fences in Palm Beach County!
So Prison is her new reality check; but the damage has been done to so many families who no longer could afford to live where Mary once reigned and intimidated. I celebrate her fallen crown.

If you entered a contract, you can’t just ‘fire’ someone.
