Long before there was a 50 Cent or a Lil Wayne, there was the Sugar Hill Gang.

The granddads of ‘em all, who topped the charts in the late 1970s with A Rapper’s Delight, kicked off a Wednesday night party series at downtown Boca Raton’s Bova restaurant last night.

The New Jersey band actually had dinner with the audience before kicking off the show about 11:30 p.m.

This looks more like a convention for plastic surgery. Between all the fake boobs and Botox lips, you would think the party was thrown by a plastic surgeon. Gotta love Boca.
