Hilton: The clothes will stay on this time around

– Aging celebutante Paris Hilton’s in SoFla, but for once it’s not for fun and games. She’s going to be tried in a federal court in Miami Thursday for allegedly failing to promote a direct-to-DVD film she did in 2006. Meanwhile Hilton, 28, is desperate to stay out of the limelight, at least until the trial is over. She arrived solo and quietly Wednesday night and checked into the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach. The wouldbe porn star has been holed up in her suite since, even refusing a friend’s offer to hit the town Wednesday night. “I don’t think she’s worried about the trial,” a source said, “but she doesn’t want to paint the town red either.” The producers of Pledge This, a colossal mistake since even the DVDs didn’t sell, are seeking $8 million from Hilton because of her lack of interest in creating buzz for the flick. – Palm Beach billionaire perv Jeffrey Epstein, who’s at the tail-end of his slap-on-the-wrist 18-month prostitution sentence, is the talk of the legal world, again. One of the young girls he invited up for strange sex when she was 16 lost her defamation lawsuit against the New York Post last week. Ava Cordero was asking for $100 million. She wasn’t happy that, in 2007, the paper outed her as a transgendered person (boy to girl) and, she claimed, made her look like “a promiscuous slut.” The paper quoted her MySpace page as saying she fantasized about being with multiple partners. A New York appellate court side with the tabloid, saying that Cordero’s MySpace page itself gives readers the reasonable impression of promiscuity. Ya think?
