– They’re a combined 193 years young! Meet Palm Beach socialite Gertrude Maxwell, who’s spent millions over the years finding rescued animals a good home through her late-night Save-a-Pet TV ads. Well, at 98, Gertrude’s found new beau. He is 95-year-old Sol Hurwitz, a West Palm Beach moneybags who lives at Trump Plaza. I’m told the two hooked up last months at the Worth Avenue Association event at Taboo. They’ve been inseparable since, and Hurwitz already introduced Maxwell to his family. Someone started rumors they were hitched on July 4, but it’s not true, a Maxwell spokeswoman says. If they do get hitched, she said, we’ll be the first to know.

– Florida’s current ugliest celebrity divorce is winding down. The legal wrestling between grappler Hulk Hogan and his cradle-robbing wife Linda could be settled by next week in a Tampa area court, according to TMZ. That’ll spare the state a slug fest of a trial in which the dysfunctional family’s really dirty laundry would be aired. In the nearly two years since Linda filed, Hogan has been trying to save some of this assets from the soon-to-be-ex while spending most of his time in Miami. And Linda, at home near St. Pete’s, has been hot’n’heavy with a boy the same age as the Hogans’ 21-year-old daughter, singer Brooke.
Oh, so cuuute about Ms. Maxwell and Mr. Hurwitz! What a great attitude toward life they both must have.
