Allegations that one of the top-ranking women at the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office had improper sexual relations with subordinates, at times on duty, has prompted Sheriff Ric Bradshaw to order an investigation.
Internal Affairs is also looking into accusations that PBSO brass chose to ignore her sometime public indiscretions, and protected and kept promoting her.
Twelve-year veteran Lt. Paula Kronsperger, the investigation’s target, has not been put on administrative leave or reassigned, said PBSO Spokeswoman Teri Barbera.
But Barbera confirmed the probe by a lieutenant at Internal Affairs — where Kronsperger once was assigned. Barbera said Bradshaw’s decision came after he received an anonymous complaint about the lieutenant.
The investigation could take several months as it is expected to ensnare higher-ups.
Kronsperger, 41, who’s married to another PBSO lieutenant, once was considered a rising star. She’s second in command at the warrant squad, a highly-sought job she stepped into in January.
The first details of what threatens to become one of the agency’s biggest sex scandals ever were revealed by Page2Live in April.
At the time, the wife of anti-gang Deputy Tim Keith, Maguis Lopez, reported to her husband’s bosses that she caught him cheating. She discovered him in their bedroom with a fellow deputy’s wife, while he was supposed to work the streets.

As a result, Keith was suspended for a month. Failing to report for duty.
But when she was interviewed by Internal Affairs, Lopez also said Keith was in another adulterous relationship, with Kronsperger. Keith and Kronsperger were working together at District 1, and Lopez intercepted text messages about kissing.
So, what happened to Kronsperger? Nothing. She wasn’t even interviewed by I.A.
At the time, PBSO’s Barbera said Kronsperger wasn’t in trouble because: “We don’t investigate rumors. Besides, there hasn’t been a complaint against the lieutenant.”
Now, that has changed.
Bradshaw recently received an anonymous six-page complaint detailing how sex contributed to Kronsperger’s rise at PBSO. It was also sent to Page2Live and county commissioners.
It names 12 deputies and ranking members of Bradshaw’s administration: some, are named for allegedly being intimate with Kronsperger; and others for actively attempting to bury the affairs.
It also names one sergeant who was transferred after questioning her integrity.
All are expected to talk with I.A.
“As always, it will be a thorough investigation,” Barbera said.
In the letter, the writer detailed how a former lover, a captain, lobbied for Kronsperger to receive a top award.
Other claims include: that she was having two affairs at once with direct underlings at District 1, which covers an area around headquarters; that a District 1 sergeant took Kronsperger to a hospital last year because of injuries sustained in rough sex; that she often visited Keith after hours at an apartment he shared with his sergeant; that she gave Keith preferential treatment; and that her husband, Lt. David Kronsperger, visited Bradshaw to complain about his wife’s behavior.
Neither Paula Kronsperger nor Lt. Jeff Swank, who’s investigating, returned calls.

Over paid staff , dubble dipping retiries , abuse of take home cars and gas , and civilian employees issued vehicles . Did anyone see the Officers in Broward County caught on video in their own squad car detailing how they were going to falsify a police report to cover up for another officer?

Of course, its pretty easy to conclude that this can only happen in an EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT structure that is either also involved in this type of thing.

Have you read any denials? Seems like there are first hand allegations, text messages, etc from credible sources and have you seen any of the accused making a believable denial.
These people have chosen to be held to a higher stander when they apply to be the “PUNISHERS” who arrest and judge others.
Of course, they have to be cleaner.
You cannot have one law for the people , for instance, you cannot beat people up on the streets of Belle Glade without getting arrested but another for the people.

you definitely seem to be a cop. It was a 6 page letter- not a 12 page letter- and the sex did happen on duty. You have to be a cop to read the article and get so much screwed up. Who took your GED test so you could get on the force?
I can understand how most of you readers think the PBSO is dirty, but I’ve been employed with them 25 years and not all by far are like what you’ve been reading about. These people doing bad things such as alledegly beating up people, stealing money and conducting sexual misconduct are the few. Keep in mind there are about 4000 employees at PBSO, and most of them are hard working and have upstanding morals, and love to help the community such as myself. So please don’t judge every cop for the few that have strayed.
Then what are not these people fired?

About time this was brought to light for the public to be aware of. Paula Warner Kronsperger is, and has been a whore for many years. Must be why she left Delray Beach Police Department after a short period of time, she must have run out of men to do. Since at PBSO she has slept her way to the top. Her longest affair was with then Sheriff Newman who she screwed for a long time to fly up through the ranks from where she started as a Deputy. Then when she was caught by some with Newman she resigned and left PBSO. Several months later she decided to come back. So still screwing Newman, he illegally brought her back without going through the regular hiring process and put her in charge if Internal Affairs. Hell if anyone knows about affairs it is that tramp. Newman left to become a man of the cloth, and she contined to move up by going down on her ranking co-workers. You could say she blew her way to the top. She should be real proud of herself. She is the walking poster slut for sexually transmitted diseases. But she is not alone there, she just got caught. There is also Deputy Allison Farrington who sleeps around with her higher ranking officials too. Like a married Lieutenant with children who had put himself at a Wellington sub station busy with paperwork when he was in her bed for several hours while on duty getting paid for the sex he was having with her that his wife does not know about. To me, if they are on duty and getting paid while having sex, that is prostitution. It makes me empathetic toward the Public Relations people at PBSO that this comes back to light so recently on the heels of the Deputies in Belle Glade getting into their ordeal. To the public, it may seem like all PBSO Deputies are corrupted, they are not. In truth under 2% of officers are involved in corruption in just about any agency on average. It’s just all in the timing. PBSO employs over 2500 personnel, 25 deputies would be 1%. So let’s give them a break on the whole corruption thing as an agency. Most are very good people who work in a harsh environment dealing with things that no one else would ever want to deal with.
This, however, is HILARIOUS. It’s so funny to me that a person who has made a career out of screwing people, both figuratively and allegedly now literally, is once again walking away from a trainwreck scott free. Kronsperger for quite some time was a detective in the Internal Affairs department, which probably explains why she was untouched in this regard. She has friends in there and they would feel compelled not to give it the old college try in an investigation.
You see, Kronsperger is a VERY ATTRACTIVE woman, physically. She has risen to through the ranks and been in several departments within the Sheriff’s Office. I am sure it’s only coincidence that those whose command she was under during those transitions are notorius for their illicit affairs with subordinates throughout their careers within the Sheriff’s Office.
A major contributer of her promotional success was a Notorius Captain who got into a jam over a scandal with a subordinate, which cost him his career with PBSO. Another was also a Captain who likes women and drink so much he was convicted of felonies over it.
The one Kronsperger reveled in was the IA department. She is a programmed robot of the heirarchal whims of those above her and she tries her hardest to destroy other people’s careers. Even if it involved deceipt and “creative writing”. She is a devil in a blue dress. A snake in the grass. Pandora’s box.
It seems now that the rumors of the golden girl’s misdeeds are being shed light upon with some actual merit. It would only be karma that proved in the end the Kronsperger is not only flawed like the rest of us humans, but is so self righteous and indignant that she is willing to step over the line to get what she wants.
I feel bad for Deputy Keith’s wife, but the fact that someone finally was able to shed a bright light onto Kronsperger’s misdeeds is great. Judge not lest ye be judged. What goes around comes around.
She should know better since her mentor, Former Captain David Carhart, who is now a convicted felon and no longer able to be a police officer, obvously is no stranger to stepping over the line to serve his whims. It makes you wonder why her career skyrocketed under Captain Carhart, who also had a thing for dating subordinates. Enquiring minds want to know.
I applaud whoever delivered the six page complaint. I hope she is actually in the zone on this one and gets some of her comeuppance. What goes around comes around and when you are a nasty person you should be intelligent enough to know the definition of Karma and expect it. It turns out that one of the biggest stone throwers in the giant glass kingdom it getting pelted with her own stones. I cannot be happier to see her disgraced. This person has meticulously enjoyed trying to destroy others’ careers for long enough. Ask anyone who has had the pleasure of being intervied by her. She is a snake. Karma.
It does sadden me a little that these things come to light under Sheriff Bradshaw’s watch. He is a good Sheriff and to see anything bad going on makes me sad for him. I hope he does the right thing. Like the old addage goes “Usually where there’s smoke, there’s fire.”
This is a public outrage. This sheriff thinks he is God and can fire or demote one person for nonsense and then cover up what has obviously been a real problem for a long time. She must have a black book on everyone there in the top staff. Ric Bradshaw needs to go and take his ego with him. We deserve better.

Am I right or wrong in understanding the court case above alleging that Paula Kronsberg was the PBSO Internal Affairs Investigator charged with investigating Multiple PBSO Deputies who made Hundreds of Porn Images and Videos with another PBSO Deputy’s Wife?
That Kronsberg signed up for a 30 day membership to 3 or 4 of these porn sites to “investigate” first hand the photos of the deputies having group sex(would loved to have seen her watching this stuff…and maybe her taking notes!)……and that she concluded in part, the following?

makes only this statement pertaining to a deputy’s personal life: “I will keep my

Rick Bradshaw might as well investigate all employees. The PBC Sheriff Department has a reputation of male and female officers having affairs with each other and inmates. She should not be a example for what been going on for years.

If Kronsperger was investigating Deputies and Spouses having group sex in hotel rooms, videotaping this and selling the images on Internet Websites and if she took out subscriptions and looked at these deputy porn shoots including cop cars but then concluded it was not a violation of Dept. During a portion of the investigation, the internal affairs captain invited her into his office to reveal information & a statement a sergeant had given against her. It’s amazing and troubling that after that closed door meeting both the captain and her left the office in tears.
She also left the job at the palm beach county blood bank and returned to the sheriff’s office and was reinstated with no loss of rank, seniority or pay because of an incident with the President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez.

So let’s see we have a sergeant that crows about beating residents up and posts their photos on his face book page, we have a sergeant (or was she a lieutenant) having sex with have the multiple married officers some while on duty and then they transfer her to an even better position, we have a Major who’s been on leave for a couple of months for who knows what, and on the LEO site they also talked about two deputies having a fight at a line up with one going to the hospital. So the question must be asked who exactly is watching the shop? The standards they say are set from the top down, but it sounds to me like their are NO standards. Somehow this Sheriff seems to be disconnected from his subordinates from the Major level on down - and we might want to ask the Sheriff why these certified employees from Major down to deputy all believe they can get away with this behavior.

We need to clean up all of the Government Corruption and Law Enforcement Abuse in Palm Beach County sooner rather than later, there are even Rumours about Mayor Fraaankel and her friends and appetites that hopefully will come to light one day despite all the people in power willing to cover for her.

Get your story straight, it was not a PBSO Deputy involved in pulling the woman over and demanding sex, it was FHP. Hey Jose…..can you ask PBSO IA what the IA case number is for the complaint and post it? It’s already public knowledge that a complaint has been made, and releasing the IA case number to identify the complaint would not be in violation of FSS 112. I’m sure CJSTC (Criminal Justice Standards and Training Comission) would like to know as well.

In broward, recently I think 4 cops were caught on their own squad car videotape discussing how to fabricate a false police report to get off a fellow officer who had rear-ended a car in his patrol car.
As of today, they not only have not been fired….they have not been charged criminally.
Last I checked it is a crime to file a false police report.

Everyone knows the town in not perfect. What’s going on with PBSO is out of control, it’s like a cheap porno over there and apparently Ric Bradshaw protects all the losers within PBSO. Case and point, look at the events this week with the three losers out in Belle Glade, they could not just fire all three of the punks hiding behind their badges, not one of those cowards would go to Belle Glade and screw around with anyone one out there if they couldn’t hide behind their gun and badge. Does Ric fire all of them? No he gives a racist a second chance. A few months ago the clown who was suppose to be working, is caught by his wife banging his neighbor and partners wife while suppose to be on duty, does he fire the scum bag? No, he transfers him to Bell Glade. This tramp Paula Kronsperger would apparently better off working on Dixie Highway and spreading her STD’s that way instead of giving them to all the married men of PBSO, was alleged to have been doing someone under her rank. Does Ric think it’s a good ideal to ask her? No, until someone hits him over the head with a six page letter that he also knows was sent to the post does he decide to look into it. And it appears the investigation is going slow to protect the higher ups within PBSO. Then to top it off Ric spends $480.00 of taxpayer money on a letter to scare Jose Lambiet because someone posted his home address on Jose’s page and then someone sent Ric a letter telling him that he was a tea-bagger. So instead of picking up the phone and just calling and saying please don’t do that, or ask an in-house attorney to shoot off a letter to the post saying hey, please don’t do that, he uses tax payer money to pad his friends pockets. OOO and by the way the letter worked, Jose has backed off, I’m very surprised he had the balls to put this story online. Jose, called the PBSO and ask for a comment on why would the PBSO waste tax payer money on the letter that scared him and they told him Ric was out of town, did Jose call back on Monday and say ‘’ok ‘’ Ric is now back in town can you please explain why $480.00 was spent for one half page letter in an economy where people are losing their jobs and the county has budget short falls. Jose never followed to ask the hard question.

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Lee County corrections deputy has been fired for looking at porn at work after his downloading slowed down agency computers.
Scott Heimlich was fired July 23 after an internal investigation found that he violated the agency’s policy on viewing pornographic material and conduct unbecoming of an officer.
Can you imagine that the County Commission would even consider invovling the Sheriff’s Office in the Proposed Inspector General’s Office. Colonel Gauger has violated more rules, regulations, and laws than any employee in PBSO history. He plans on being the next Sheriff after Bradshaw-JUST WAIT-there will be more proven eveidence against him than he can imagine. Keep him as far away from the Inspector General as possible.
Man there is a lot of hatred in these posts! Pretty obvious to me that the “hate mails” mostly come from private citizens who have no respect for law enforcement anyway, and from disgruntled officers who have either been dinged by IA or just believe that they are much better cops then they really are.
FYI for the private citizen, it is possible that Lt Paula and anyone else involved in this scandal could be fired, demoted, suspended or reprimanded. That can’t be done until there is an investigation…Kinda like you can arrest or charge someone with a crime, but they get to have a trial to determine guilt before a sentence can be imposed. You should be able to figure that out from one episode of Law and Order. That being said, quit bashing Bradshaw for not firing her, her alleged lover(s) or anyone else.
As with any Chief or Sheriff, some love ‘em and some hate ‘em. Personally, having worked for Bradshaw for many years I trust he will do the right thing. He is not a stupid man! As for VanReeth, he too is a fair and honorable man. I sat in both the subject and witness chair while he was in IA at WPBPD. If I were there again, I would know I would be treated fairly.

What about Sgt Beth L. Kriva? She has been a sick, perverted cop for years. I had the misfortune of meeting her once and that was a acary sight. Six foot giant of a lesbian. She shacked up with disgraced Captain Ann Marie Burke until Burke got thown out of Quantico Washington training. She bullied other trainees and brandished a knife. Now poor Ann is regulated to airport duty. Beastly Beth still has her job in Internal Affairs. That psycho lesbian Krivda has been harassing citizens and making up false police reports year after year. Why is she still a cop? I will tell u why because the entire PBSO is a corrupt agency only out for the money not helping th citizens of West Palm Beach and Wellington. Most of the time they are seen eating out at various nice restaurants in Wellington making fun of their latest arrestees. What a disgrace they make the sheriff dept. They should get rid of all of the cops and hire a whole new fleet.
