The new Rush
For his fans, there’s a lot less to love about Rush Limbaugh.
The controversial conservative radio talker told his audience he lost 79 pounds since March, tipping the scale at a respectable 210. And he won’t let go until he weighs about 200, and maybe lower.
Oxycontin? Ebola? Mexican flu?
No, no and no.
Girlfriend!
Limbaugh’s galpal of two years, the comely West Palm Beacher Kathryn Rogers, tells Page2Live she thought Limbaugh wasn’t looking particularly healthy last winter.
In his Palm Beach mansion, Limbaugh lived dangerously close to 300 pounds for a 6-foot frame. So, she went looking for a diet, and settled for the South Florida-based Quick Weight Loss.

“I wanted him to feel good and be around for a long time,” she said. “But most diets out there, once you stop, you get your weight back. This one is more about a change of lifestyle. Rush isn’t starving himself. Actually, he still eats a lot. We were in the Bahamas recently and he had steaks. But he’s also eating better, more vegetable and salads. Now he knows what’s good for him. And he feels great.”
Rogers went to QWL’s store on Okeechobee in West Palm Beach and got Rush’s program without telling who it was for.
“He didn’t want to endorse anything,” she said. “They figured it was for a well-known person.”
QWL officials at their Fort Lauderdale headquarters didn’t return calls. The manager of the Okeechobee store said she needs to keep her job and couldn’t talk.
But Limbaugh did all the talking Friday.
“I have no desire to stop it,” Limbaugh said on his show. “In fact, I might even stay on this long enough that people think I have a deadly disease. ’What are you, sick or something?’”

I saw Rush in Minneapolis in 1989 or so,,,he was a chubby guy then, and not as well dressed as today. He has made a fortune being hated, and I was luckey to see him in the beginning. Although I think he has crossed some lines, and my personal political leaning has changed, I would still have a Ruth’s with him. But he has to grab the check. I do wish he could be more philantropic in the local community(How about “The Rush Limbaugh Childrens Hospital”) we so desperately need.
I think Rush looks like a million bucks! As one who has personally lost and regained the same darned pounds so many times over and over again throughout the years I know just how good he must feel about himself right now. Who can find fault in that?
I sure wish folks would stop being so partisan about everything single little thing in life. Whether or not you agree with Rush’s politics we should all be happy to congratulate anyone who has managed to achieve such a wonderful personal goal.

The Stem-fast diet, for those that don’t know, is from the “stem” crack-smokers use to smoke their CRACK. When smoking crack they stay up 3, 4 , 5 days and cannot eat any food—-they just constantly smoke CRACK—24/7 until they either run out of CRACK or eat a valium or some other sedatives and crash —and not eating a morsel of food makes you really lose weight FAST, as evidenced by all those CRACK-hookers we can all see working Broadway…holding their pants up as they try and solicit rides …..

A 79-lb. weight loss in 5 months by diet alone is nigh impossible — there are approximately 3,500 calories in a pound of stored body fat. The calorie deficit necessary for a near-300-lb. male (with 276,500 total calories of stored body fat) to achieve such a mark would be staggeringly unhealthy to attempt, if not downright dangerous.
Slow and steady weight loss of no more than 1-2 pounds per week is the safest way to lose weight. The alleged results in this case would mean that 4 pounds a week (5 months = 20 weeks) have been lost, even with a probable daily calorie intake of 2,000. The numbers in this case literally don’t add up squarely.
More likely (if the pics aren’t Photoshopped), there’s been Lap-Band surgery; a ton of liposuction in the belly/rump/thigh areas; definitely some lifting of the face, neck, and body (79 lbs lost so quickly would leave a *lot* of loose, stretched skin); and the obvious diet and necessary exercise (and no mention is given to exercise).
Unfortunately, this gives false hope to some poor suckers who will be hoodwinked into believing that these quick and sweeping results are achievable by just 5 months on a diet alone.
As a client whose been through the process, I am compelled to share my experience with Quick Weight Loss Centers. I too, like Rush, lost weight with with QWLC. I went to the Lake Worth Center in October 2006 weighing in at 191 pounds on my 5′5″ frame. I signed on with their program and proceeded to lose 60 pound, and a total of 38 inches in 6 months. Going from a size 16 down to a size 4.
With my newfound confidence, and smokin new body, I competed and won the title of Mrs. Florida US Continental. I went on to win the National pageant on July 11, 2009. I am the current Mrs. US Continental.
I have managed to keep the weight off for over two years now. The QWLC diet is one that WILL change your life. It is a diet that teaches you to eat real food. Once I hit my goal weight, the center helped me maintain my weight. It truly changed my life. I am a happier, healthier person because of QWLC.
So, I am here to tell you this diet is real, its healthy, and most importantly - IT WORKS!

It’s pretty amazing and encouraging to see a person show that kind of resolve. Losing 79 pounds in 6 months is very achievable, but it requires a good plan. I lost about 25 pounds during a 30-day raw vegan challenge. After that, I added some meat and dairy, but still ate mostly fresh food and lost another 10 pounds or so. And I didn’t have that much to lose to begin with. At 300 pounds, it would be “easy” to lose that much weight.
Some of you need to relax.
He is an inspiration in so many ways and now even about weightloss.
So hopefully I will be able to have what it takes to take my 10 pounds of. I am going to paste a picture of the “before and after” Rush on my Fridge!

The “Quick Weight Loss” diet is simple…it’s also known as stomach stapling or gastric bypass. NO ONE can lose that amount of weight in that short a period of time with a diet. Rush is a liar.

I know someone at work who lost 65 lbs in 6 months at a Quick Weight Loss Center. He doesn’t have an insurance plan, I know how much we make and there’s no way he could afford a gastic bypass operation. Read previous comment # 38 by Mrs. U.S. Continental.

Rush was giving speaches just before Obama won the election, and his weight was way up there…google a pic, if you want. If he is around 6′, then he weighed a lot more than 300 lbs.
8 months or so later, he weighs 210?…nfw. The truth is, there are only two methods that really work when you’re talking weight loss, escpecially at his age…surgery or drugs.
what bothers me is that no one will admit this…possibly to allow insurance companies to avoid covering these methods, perhaps?…the same insurance companies that won’t insure the overweight?
Limbaugh has nothing to worry about when it comes to health insurance, however…his union (AFTRA) fights for excellent health coverage for him and all his crew.
Rush had found that being conservative not only applies to thinking but applies to all actions. Conservatism also applies to diet. As Benjamin Franklin had stated,”Eat to live. Don’t live to eat.” I’ve lost almost 40 lbs following this philosophy and am now in great shape. God bless Rush.

My wife and I had gastric bypass surgery back in December… It was the best thing we have ever done for ourselves. If Rush had surgery, more power to him. There are other benifits to weight loss surgery other than appearance. Our blood pressure it much lower, our blood sugar is lower, and our level of physical activity it WAY up.
