I’m just jealous Not of the money though I’m unemployed and could sure use it. I love Bruce Campbell and Burn Notice is a great show. I woulda done it for free. The money would just be a bonus to a wonderful life experience.

Whoa, look at the catfight about a local actress who is lucky enough to get bit parts on national television shows that are filmed here. To those who had beef with her for not being more ecstactic about the money she made–she is right–for people who work in her industry, $1,500/day is not much–not when you have people like Paula Abdul turning down seven figures for essentially being a judge at a talent show. I don’t see Ms. Jones or her husband quitting their day jobs to live off her acting gigs–it seems like a nice supplement to her income that could cash in big one day if she is a regular in a hit series or has a juicy part in a movie that kills and gets her noticed. I’m happy for her.

This does belong in the paper (local folks of note), helps a fledgling local industry (TV and Movie business in So Fla.) and it is newsworthy for people who watch Burn Notice (has to be better news than the lead actor of the show getting busted for a DUI). It also shows you that you don’t have to be a raging egomaniac to make a few bucks as an actor. Apply yourself to the craft and make the effort and you can do the same thing–be it acting or other personal endeavors.

And no, Walter, it has nothing to do with Obama.

I’m with you QUIT. These articles are supposed to be a bit of entertainment news. If you want the serious stuff, then please go back to the main page. It is nice to get away from the negativity of everyday life every once in a while. As far as the article, I think it is nice that you don’t have to live in LA or NY to land a part in a movie. As far as her pay…good for her. Yes, that is over a months pay for me, but why should I be angry for someone elses fortunate situation. To Ron, I did understand your blog the 1st time I read it and could not understand what the other 2 were talking about. To Rio, as far as living in the “real world” as you call it. Do you watch TV? I occasionally enjoy getting away from the everyday rat-race and live for 30 mins or more in TV land. However I don’t live through the eyes of others, so stop thinking that you know everyone. Do we need to be serious and miserable every minute of everyday? Maybe things would be different if everyone didn’t. Enjoy life as it comes, don’t dissect it.

I LOVE BURN NOTICE, that I live somewhere where film industries want to film, that locals are hired and these people are sucessful! Interestingly enough, I am considered to be the miserable human being. I was just merely saying that she is calling it a “good days work” and I’m meeting people everday without jobs at all who would kill for $1500 a week, a month… at all. It wasn’t against the lady for being an actress, how could I ever socialize in public with being that distraught. It was merely a statement against her quoted words…

Calm down world and instead of assuming things through typed words.. really give it some thought and make comments on the article verses other’s comments to it.
