Now that IndyCar speedster Helio Castroneves beat Prez Barack Obama’s taxman — found not guilty of tax evasion in April — he shows the Commander-in-Chief where he can shove the next 1040 form.

Helio Castroneves

Brazilian Castroneves, a three-time Indianapolis 500 champ and former Dancing With the Stars winner, ran into this Obama wannabe Sunday at the Great Grove Bed Races in Coconut Grove. Locals re-created the yearly carnival/bed racing derbies this year after a six-year hiatus, and made Grove resident Castroneves the grand marshal.

What’s up with a race car driver getting political and fanning the flames of ignorance? Isn’t it enough to make millions for driving an expensive car in circles? Talk about leaving a footprint which will be hard for our grandchildren to erase …..
    As I said, huh????

If it was about Sara Palin, these people would think its funny, but don’t you dare say something about the king of B.O.

Victor, I couldn’t have said it better.

I respect everyone’s right to speak their minds. An intelligent debate is the whole point of a democracy. George W. Bush was not my favorite president, Sarah Palin is the reason John McCain is not president right now (or at least the reason it was not a close election) and is there some way we can join forces here and just wish the best for all of us? It is not President Obama’s fault that we are in a mess in this country. We all hold the blame…..
I was raised as a dyed in the wool Republican and turned into a Democrat as I aged - not that I’m old - only 51 - but I am always willing to listen to both sides of an issue …
    Peace and love???
Remember, we are in this together…………….

I am sure that Obama personally had him investigated for income tax evasion. The part of PARANOIA once again grasping at straws.

I have to admit I’m ignorant here. I know the race car guy was found not guilty - why would the president of the US care? What am I missing? I don’t know the story so enlighten me. Please….
What is “part of paranoia grasping at straws”????
    Help!!!
I’m pretty well-informed, but I guess I missed this story somewhere.
And to think, we have a paranoid president.
Next thing you know, people will think he’s a Kenyan terrorist, not born in the US and “has a deep-seeded hatred for white people”
Thank you Glenn Beck for fanning more flames of ignorance!
Everyone relax. I’m being passive aggressive here, but I’m real tired of the anger.
Anyone agree that we should all get along and find a common path to the future?

What exactly is political about Helio’s butt-grabbing? He’s not carrying a sign. The signs aren’t even anti-Obama. They’re just silly. Unless there’s more to the story than just the picture, I think Lambiet is inventing a controversy.

    What a Joke!
How fast people forget that this guy, a Brazilian national, and his family were part of a tax scheme involving millions of dollars owed to the US Govt. He was found not guilty of criminal charges but that does not mean that he does not owe the money. Multiple Panamanian offshore companies, Swiss bank accounts, etc. Welcome to Miami, the capital of South America.

I don’t mind ignorance, it’s the stupidity that I can’t stand. If you are going to cry about a president going after a tax evader, (which is stupid anyway since it has nothing to do with him) at least get the president right. The charges were filed in 2008 which would make Bush the president. The verdict came out in 2009. Drink the Fox kool-aid.

I have come to like Helio more and more over the past couple of years and I am pleased that he beat the rap. It was a very trying period for him and for him to finally be able to make light of the situation must be a wonderful release. He’s joking about the government and taxes and not Obama specifically. Lighten up already.
