Limbaugh

It’s as if a convention of Conservatives descended on the West Palm Beach French restaurant Pistache.

Right on time for early bird Tuesday, superstar radio talker Rush Limbaugh walked in the snails-and-mussels-Clematis hangout with his BFF Stanley Gaines, a GOP moneyman and Palm Beach neighbor.

By coincidence, they arrived smack dab in the middle of a fundraiser for Gov. Charlie Crist’s nemesis, candidate for U.S. Senate Marco Rubio.

Welcomed like a rock star, Limbaugh took some time to pose for pictures with organizers, from the Republican Club of the Palm Beaches.

It’s strange these days to run into Limbaugh in a restaurant. He’s been on a strict diet, and melting like a snowman in April.

“I’m at 208 lbs,” he said proudly.“I’m shooting for 195. I’m 5-11.”

Limbaugh said he’s been healthy throughout the program in which he was enrolled by his squeeze, local hottie Kathryn Rogers.

“But hey,” Limbaugh said, “I was healthy even when I was 290.”

Limbaugh had organic chicken and an onion soup.

The total bill came to $87, and Limbaugh left $1,000 tip.

You read right. A grand.

When Limbaugh noticed him, the two fell into a manly embrace, with Limbaugh shouted excitedly: “Mark Foley!”

“I used to go to Rush’s house to watch The Sopranos,” Foley said.

Foley also talked about his new gig as radio show host on WSVU-Seaview 960 AM, which starts Sept. 22.

“Too much has been made of it,”he said. “But I have a lot of experience in public speaking so I figured why not. I just want to have fun. It doesn’t have to lead to a big career.”

When I told Limbaugh that his new radio competition, Foley, was in the house, he said: “Are you jokin’? I have no competition.”

Limbaugh also talked about the flack he’s been taking this year, for things like wishing that Prez Barack Obama would fail.

“If I wasn’t hated by half the population, I would have to quit,” Limbaugh said.

Glen (mental case) Beck makes $20,000,000 a year! HS! What does this drug addict Rush make and no wonder pedophile Foley wants in to supplement his government pension! With this gang raking in these bucks I say raise the max income tax rate to 90%……

This whole story is surreal and creepy. It’s like some kind of horror movie!

When is the story about “Liberals On Clematis” gonna print? Oh wait … thats right, you guys don’t use that word to describe people.

I’m surprised Rush left a $1,000. tip to a lowly proletariat. What did Foley eat? That Chinese dish…..Cum-of-Some-Young-Boy?

Can’t wait until republicans outnumber the demoncrats downtown.

We’re not liberals; we’re progressives. When we’re in power, things get progressively worse.

Hey Rush, I guess you have recovered from your gastric bypass surgery, huh? Following a strict diet!? Right, just like Star Jones!!!

I do have to admire the large tip though. I didn’t know you had that much humanity in you.

Hmm. I wonder what those two fellows have in common? Were they going to the Dominican Republic together, with pockets full of Viagra and nodders?

When will Jose learn to write? This sentence makes no sense and is worded like a 1st grader - “Limbaugh also seems talked about the flack he’s been taking this year” - Poor grammer is an understatement. The whole story is a total set up - spoon fed by some republican PR creep - and of course Jose took the bait.

  15. Comment by 1st Grade Teacher — September 18, 2009 @ 11:58 am

Congratulations moron - you fixed the grammer error! Now do some work and find a real gossip story - oh, that’s right - no one will talk to you because you misquote everyone.

  16. Comment by Cynthia Plockelman — September 18, 2009 @ 12:38 pm

Limbaugh is racist and scumbag — why do you keep puffing him up in your column? Must be pretty desperate for PB Co. news.
As to racist: see latest Alternet article:
    http://www.alternet.org/rights/142706 “we need segreated buses”

    First Grade Teacher,

Man, with that mouth of yours, I’m glad you’re not my kids’ first grade teacher!
Also, it’s GRAMMAR, not grammer. Cheers

After reading these comments I have to wonder why the republicans are called the party of hate. The only hate I read is from the left wing wackos and the progessives. Oh, I forget, they are both the same.

I check out PBP weekly online to keep up with what’s happening in South Florida. Can’t wait to come back down to my place in Jupiter in a couple of months and check out Pistache in hopes of meeting some fellow conservatives, the favorite being Rush. Having just attended the DC Tea Party, I’m hoping to find more in Palm Beach during my stay.
