TV star Charlie Sheen, he of the CBS hit sitcom Two and a Half Men, quietly slipped into Palm Beach over the weekend for a bat mitzvah, of all things.
Well, 13-year-old Sydney Wolofsky’s soiree wasn’t just any old bat mitzvah.
Gov. Charlie Crist and first lady Carole Rome tore up the dance floor with dozens of pubescent teens.
And there were nearly 300 guests in the grand ballroom of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Saturday night for the Jewish rite-of-passage. Guests, including 70 of Sydney’s classmates at the Palm Beach Day Academy and family friends from Australia, Hungary, Puerto Rico, Aspen and the Hamptons, munched on filet mignon while gawking at Sheen.
The themes: Hollywood! The color: pink!
“Sydney wants to be an actress,” said mom, Moira Fiore. “She’s such a drama queen that we just had to have that theme.”
Instead of a red carpet, guest walked on a pink one into the banquet. Sydney was carried in on a pink throne before being serenaded by professional singer John Fiore, Moira’s hubby.
Sheen’s co-star on Two and a Half Men, Jon Cryer, send his regards by video along with: Apocalypse Now’s Martin Sheen, Trump, TV host Regis Philbin, big screen hottie Rebecca Gayheart (Urban Legends) and her husband, Grey’s Anatomy’s Eric Dane.
Up-and-coming dancer/actress Rachele Brooke Smith, star of a Bring It On cheerleading film, performed her dance routine as the surprise entertainment.
Wolfosky is the sister of Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller Sheen, a former Benjamin School cheerleader.

Charlie’s Sheen wife, Brooke, has a 13 year old sister? Brooke is how old? Bottom line, who cares about this rich kid and her rite of passage and being cared in on a throne? Jose, you write about the dumbest things. Who is this person and why would ANYONE care about her party? I wonder if the family would donate as much $$ as it cost to have that party to the boy laying in the Burn Unit in Miami or to the family that just found out their daughter was murdered and thrown in the dump, just to name a couple.
if the poor knew what these disgusting people have goin’ on there would be an instant revolution. the way things are, it might not be far off.
So now a bat-mitzvah is the equivalent of a sweet sixteen or quinceanera? way to go religious events! What is next? MTV coming to tape the “religious passage”? What is it going to be called? My mitzvah party beats your sweet sixteen party?

Is this over the top? Absolutely. But enough already with demonizing people for spending money! Think of how many people this shin-dig EMPLOYED. I say, thanks for dumping money into the local economy!!
Crist just doesnt get it… Florida has 12% unemployment, a housing market that is beyond depressed, homeowners ins and property tax that DID NOT drop like a rock - need i say more. and he allows himself to photographed at an over-the-top event such as this? Crist has no compassion for struggling Floridians. This young lady and her family should not be criticized for how they spend (waste) their money, but the governor should be more careful in choosing the events he attends.
As far as Carole Crist… it makes me sick when i hear Crist introduce her as Florida’s First Lady. Please! Funny, we only see her at parties and fundraisers, but never has she volunteered at a meaningful event or taken on a platform that will benefit Floridians. Carole didnt marry Charlie for Charlie, she married Charlie to be a Governor’s wife and eventually, she hopes, a Senator or VP/President’s wife. Carole needs to take Charlie to New York, or wherever it is she and her Real Housewives of NY friends hangout, and let a truly compassionate public-servant serve Floridians.
November 2010 cant get here soon enough - Rubio or Meek, just as long as it isnt Crist.
How pathetic, with so many good and hard working American loosing their homes, jobs and not knowing how they are going to pay for their medical expenses. These people have to flaunt their wealth. The good old American way is to work hard and become successful, however why do they have to show it off in this manner. Why not take the money spent on this elaborate party and help those less fortunate. What a great lesson for their child that they are helping others less fortunate. Is this party going to make their child a better person…. No, just a selfish and self centered individual. Just what the world needs more of these people. I have a lot of respect for our Governor; however this is a huge mistake in his part. Florida is one of the hardest hit states in this country with unemployment and foreclosures and he attends a party like this. Foolish move Mr. Governor.
I hope the kid uses the money she got for plastic surgery. Woof!

Ok was just testing to see if I did this right……Anyway lets see yes Brooke and Sydney half sisters because of course different dads. Syds father was a builder in Fla left Moira well off..way well off. They do donate to a lot of charities. But I think this was still over the top with the current economic situation of this country. Id have loved to see just some of that money put towards helping the troops and their families who are fighting for the freedoms these ppl are enjoying. As for Charlie I am so done with him stopped watching his show with his 9-11 truth BS. Thanks Jose for using John’s real name that JON crap is so stupid. He was born John Fiore and thats how it should be spelled. I know all this because we are first cousins. he was the best cousin in the world growing up. Money changed him. he has a failry large family but you never see any of them at these affairs. Prob cuz they cant afford them! LOL Anyway I dont begrudge anyone having money but when you see the Gov Who by the way is featured in an HBO special Called Outrage,,,,which questions his sexuality, between him, Charlie sheen with his sicko ideas, a bunch of kids grabbing at a Money machine, some values going on there!! While Fla suffers, ppl lose their homes. I dont live in Fla and thank fully Im still employed. But I have many friends in fla and I am outraged at this tasteless display of Look what WE Can do because we are Rich. Very sad. I’m the Bat Mitzvah girl! That was my party. Shut up people! GOD! you don’t understand. You are idiots. To criticize me and then comment on the rest of the world. I had a wonderful party because I am fortunate enough to have one. This wasn’t just a birthday party. This was a big deal for me, my family, and everyone else who cares about me. We went over the top because we were able to. I also donated 60% of my money to charity. I donated it to Cystic Fybrosis (which my close friend has) to cancer (which my grandmother died of) and one to help prevent strokes (which my dad died of) So thank you for all of your horrible comments. My life isn’t perfect either. That was just one GREAT night.
