Unlike run-of-the-mill publicity book tours, British author David Irving’s is the stuff of spy novels.
There’s a good reason for that.
An Adolf Hitler apologist, Irving denies the Holocaust existed. His fans usually run the gamut from skinheads to white supremacists. And protesters often stand outside.
Irving’s coast-to-coast circus passes through West Palm Beach tonight, according to his Web site www.irvingbooks.com.
Thing is, only a chosen few know where he’ll be at 7 p.m.
Irving, a military historian by trade, reads from his books and meets followers in hastily rented hotel meeting rooms or restaurant back rooms. The establishments’ owners are kept in the dark about his beliefs.
Those who’ll attend the West Palm gathering need to sign up online, and pay $15, before being told where to go.
“Each person is vetted by his local contacts,” said a WPB activist who only gave his first name, Nick. “We’ve called just about every hotel in the area and he hasn’t reserved a meeting room. We were hoping to protest, but we can’t find him.”
This time Irving, who owns a home in Key West, is pushing Banged Up, a book in which he writes about spending 400 days in solitary confinement in Austria for spewing his rhetoric in that country.
If someone knows where Irving will be tonight, please post it on a comment. I’d like to interview the dude.

Not to support Mr. Irving’s worldview, but the people that stand in judgement of the man are mostly hypocrits. Questions should never be crimes.
Anyone who denies the holocaust is either an idiot or a liar. Anyone who doesn’t have the stones to face the public and denies the holocaust, most assuredly is a liar. The holocaust happened. Even Hitler’s lieutenants admit that it happened. There are still living eye-witnesses to the fact that it happened. It is not hypocrisy to judge Mr. Irving on his world view. His views are not questioning, they are outright denials.
Mr. Irving will be spending his evening at a home in Palm Beach. He was invited to speak at Mr. Limbaugh’s annual “White Man - Black Tie” event.
He’ll probably be hanging out with those two facist dufuses from Stormfront.

Have you read any of Mr. Irving’s books? Have you ever attended a lecture? If you did I think your opinion would be very different. First you would find Irving’s research (from primary sources as opposed to secondary used by other authors) fascinating, detailed, and intriguing. Secondly you would wonder why all the “media” hoopla about a historian lecturing on events nearly 70yrs old.
The really frightening thing here are the protesters, who meddle and interfere with a private function. What’s next, protesting at someone house because there could be politically incorrect conversation going on at the dinner table?

Terrorists who stab Americans need to be prosecuted. Freely attending a speech is not a crime. Anyone who thinks it’s fine is a terrorist. I’ve called the FBI about this. The person assured me they are monitoring the “protestors”. Not a good time to attack Americans right now.
My question is. Why are they trying to stop David Irving from speaking about World War 2 wherever he goes? If what we are being told is the absolute truth, then it will hold it’s own in any debate.
The answer is, we have heard nothing but lies from the authorities about World War 2 and what Irving is saying threatens the legitimacy of the governments of Israel and Germany and the endless tributes Israel receives from Germany and the US governments.
