Lt. Paula Kronsperger, one of the highest-profile females at the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, is out on worker’s comp as more allegations of sex-related wrongdoing rain on her.
Kronsperger, 41, the warrants and fugitives unit’s executive officer, went out on leave Oct. 11, according to PBSO spokeswoman Teri Barbera. Barbera couldn’t legally discuss the reason for Kronsperger’s temporary departure. But two sources at the department said months under Internal Affairs scrutiny and a new investigation by PBSO’s Human Resources have stressed out Kronsperger.
Four days before Kronsperger’s departure, as many as 20 of her employees descended on the office of HR honcho Joyce Stelling to file a federal EEOC complaint against Kronsperger.
Reason: Hostile work environment!
John Kazanjian, head of the local PBA police union, confirmed the existence of the EEOC complaint.
“The sheriff (Ric Bradshaw) called me to ask if I could hold off some of my members from joining the EEOC action,” Kazanjian said. “But I couldn’t do it.”
The troops, meanwhile, are grumbling that it is highly unusual for a PBSO employee to be allowed on worker’s comp for stress. Usually, stressed out employees have to use the Family Medical Leave Act.
FMLA leaves are unpaid. But because Kronsperger is on worker’s comp, PBSO continues paying her $104,000-a-year salary, Barbera confirmed.
Last month a member of Bradshaw’s cabinet, Maj. Michael Veccia, invoked the FMLA to take a leave the day he was supposed to be interviewed by Internal Affairs in connection with a hostile work environment complaint. He, too, told the brass he was stressed out.
Why the double standard? It’s nothing of the sort, Barbera said.

“She was eligible (for worker’s comp),” Barbera said when asked about the unusual nature of the move.
Since the summer Kronsperger, the wife of another PBSO lieutenant, has been under investigation for allegations that she had sex with subordinates, possibly while on duty, in her previous assignment as a patrol commander.
Kronsperger was transferred to a choice assignment at warrants and continued work during the probe.
Her new underlings, meanwhile, complained that she’s creating a hostile work environment.
A PBSO source tells me a sergeant accused Kronsperger of touching a female employee inappropriately and using sexually-charged language at meetings. At one point, according to the complaint, Kronsperger told a deputy searching the office for a radio with a “big antenna” that he, too, probably has a “big antenna.”
Neither Stelling nor Kronsperger could be reached.
The troops, meanwhile, have been divided on the Kronsperger case. Some female employees told Page2Live they believe that Kronsperger is a target because she went up the ranks in a male world. Some male employees believe that agency bigs are treating with kid’s gloves and earlier allegations against her weren’t investigated properly.

I think it is fraud allowing her to claim workers comp due to stress related issues. Gimme a break- she CAUSED this stress she is now feeling. So, let me get this straight- if you do something by your own actions-(those actions are really terms for dismissal) you could actually file workers comp- this wasn’t injury related to her employment- its like purposely throwing herself down the stairs and then filing a claim with work comp. Thats fraud ladies and gentlemen. The other officers SHOULD, out of duty, report her to the workers comp people and let them know the REAL, SELF-INFLICTED details behind this scam.
I worked in her department for several months. It was the worst thing I have ever encountered. She used to eye me like a piece of meat as I walked past her office. She would breathe very heavy when she came around and would ask me strange questions like, ” did I enjoy watching her work the ol’ billy club” and so on. When I was done with work each day, I would drive home and shower because I felt so dirty. My last day, she tried to touch my speacial “no no” spot. I hate her!
Well, in case you posters weren’t aware of what she went through oh.. about 2 1/2 years ago when she was put in a terrible situation of embarrassment by officers under her command. Let me inform you of the catch 22, plus retaliation and bull crap she must have been going through ever since then only to have now been reversed based upon her decision of authority. She was damned if she did and damned if she didn’t with that gang bangin police force she had to defend or punish… whichever suits you. And any remarks sexual for that matter, based on the morals she has compared to the male police officers that were friends or co-workers of the porno-force… well damn, they deserved every bit and she probably had enough. It’s a lot harder for a table to be turned around, but so quickly in her case because of the circumstances. She should be eligible for workmans comp especially if she gets anti-dep meds! I know I would if I had to deal with this crap!
Stress for a workcomp claim is not covered in florida workers comp-If she had a civilian job,she could never collect workers comp for that.But since she works for a socialist entity ,all is allowed and the taxpayers are the ones hurt-give me a break, I do not care who she was doing as long as it doesn’t cost me more in taxes!Really,if she worked at a civilian job,she would be out already!!

The worst part about this EEOC complaint is that the employees filing against her are the same ones who cheat on their husbands, check their online dating sights, myspace, and facebook, all while they’re supposed to be working.

Lambiet you should be sued for posting such inaccurate facts and for being used as a pawn in the PBA’s little game. 20 people didn’t march down to make a complaint to HR. You might actually want to see how many people actually came to Lt. Kronsperger’s defense to set the record straight. I am sure that Rick McDermitt is kicking himself right now as he realizes Kaz and Company just used him. These are supposed to be big tough SWAT guys, they can’t handle the f-bomb being dropped. This is outrageous. It worked for Veccia so she figured it’ll work for me and she was right. These people are whats wrong with law enforcement and why no one has any respect for them anymore. They need an independent committee to come in and “CLEAN HOUSE”, starting with Bradshaw. Just a matter of time before his skeletons come out of the closet. All of these people are an embarrassment to PBC and to law enforcement.

Yet another of these complaints they have covered up. They like to select whom they chose to investigate which is illegal. This sheriff must go and will hopefully be investigated by either a federal agency or a federal grand jury. I can’t believe Charlie Crist let’s this happen on his watch.

When deputys become supervisors they think that they are a celebrity this is were the corruption comes in, the abuse of authority;the paula kronserger pluck it and fuck it. the ugliest supervisor began to pick up subordinates because the subordinates began to feel that they are protected when they have supervior as there lover they began to recieve favortism and special treatment. Talk about protecting someone Capt. Starling recieved inmate grievances from inmates on the eastside that deputy williams a female deputy who was rumored to be having a relationship with Sgt.Hudson who is on the same shift as the deputy is having a sexual relationship with Sgt. Hudson Capt. Starling brought both Ds williams and Sgt. Hudson into the office to clear up the rumors.The inmate concerns was that the deputy had used abusive profanity towards them and the deputy used her cell phone to call Sgt.Hudson while in the cell on her post to straighten out the inmates who had been giving her a problem. When Sgt.Hudson arrived he began to council the inmates. Capt. Starling spoke with both individuals who then admitted that they were in a relationship. Capt. Starling moved Sgt.Hudson to A-shift midnights and DS Williams remained on C-shift Sgt. Hudson should have been demoted. Oh snap as the kids would say. What about when Sgt.Schoneman and Sgt. Christopher Cook. where fighting in the Sgt’s office Sgt. Cook choked the shit out of Sgt. Schoneman and the Lt. Tutko advised them that this would mess up their careers, and advised Sgt. Schoneman not to press charges. While on my post in the West Medical ward at the main jail Sgt. Schoneman came into the west medical to conduct security checks and while conducting my security checks at the same time Sgt.Schoneman began to question me about why was I transferred from the stockade to the main jail as I began to tell Sgt. Schoneman what transpired at the stockade about the supervisors harassing me, Sgt. Schoneman stated the only way that the harassment would stop that I would have to become a supervisor and that I should be working on that because I have been with the department for a long time. I advised Sgt. Schoneman if I had to become a supervisor to stop someone from harassing me I don’t need to be a supervisor. I already knew Sgt. Schoneman was scary as a deputy, but in order for him to be protected he needed to become a Sgt.In order to get away with wrong doings. So since Sgt. Schoneman open the doors to question me so I felt it was my turn. I ask Sgt. Schoneman about fight between him and Sgt. cook who is now Lt. Cook. Sgt. Schoneman was in shock that I asked him that, and wanted to where did I hear that from.I advised Sgt. Schoneman that I heard it from someone that was present which was a supervisor.Sgt. Schoneman admitted that it did happen and that he hates Sgt. cook for what he did to him, and if it wasn’t for affirmative action he would nothave even became a deputy. I advised Sgt. Schoneman that comment makes him a racist, and instead of reporting and file assault charges on Sgt. cook of what happen he chose to to pull the race card.This shit gets better what about Sgt. Tammy Brewington who works at the main jail who in 2009 left her fucking weapon(Gun) in a trash can in the female locker room at the main jail because she didn’t have her keys to her locker to secure the weapon. while Csp. Tennant and a inmate worker inmate Tyrone Murray who was an inmate at the time of this incident found the Gun in the trash can while conducting clean up duties with Csp. Tennant. Several supervisors responded to the locker room and left because they didn’t want to be apart of what had happen and left the inmate and the scared out of her mind Csp. Tennant in the locker room with the inmate and the loaded gun. Csp. Tennant had to write a memo of what transpired in the female locker room and the memmo was torned up by Lt. Timothy, Temperato.Csp. Tennant was upset that Lt. Temperato ripped up the memo because she didn’t want to get into trouble for not explaining what happen. Sgt. Brewington put the everyone life in danger, and this incident should have been exposed so this type of conduct wouldn’t happen to someone else, and if it does the next person is going to say well sgt. brewington got away with it Sgt. Brewington should have been terminated. The media should know that there are careless,worthless,untruthfull and unprofessional supervisors at the PBSO department. Internal Affairs was quickley to expose DS. Femenalla,DS. Mcmaahon and DS. Starling with out doing a through investigation and believed what a convicted felon had to say. Major. Chambers who is retired now couldn’t wait to report to line up to report the deputys of wrong doing without having knowledge of the evidence of what happen and stated that the deputys were bringing in drugs. Guess what the deputys characters were defamed because of lack of evidence and all deputys that were fired recieved there jobs back and lots of ching ching for wrongful termination Major. Chambers was the spokes person that day in the up room that cost him some ching ching. Know who’s protected (supervisors.)Oh shit listen to this Capt. Furman is working under the commands of his wife Major waldrop what the hell is really going on. Male supervisors who sit on female subordinates post for hours trying to get some pluck it or fuck time. Oh Paula think you for fucking up. All the male supervisors who has been accused of sexual harassment have been protected. Every male Supervisor that been accused of sexual harassment are guilty they are some begging mother fuckers. Look at Sgt. Burton fucking all the Csp.’s. He is so disgusting he’s even fucking DS. Pickett and you know who her husband is the former Lt.Pickett who worked for the department of corrections. You have Sgt. Fucking Sgt, Sgt. fucking Deputys,Sgt. fucking Csp. Everybody fucking everybody at PBSO. Look how deputy jackson and other females was taking DS Smith aka (chuckie) money and promising him sex and he reported it to internal affairs because he didn’t get no pussey from Lt. Jefferry, Jackson Sister Vantavia, Jackson. The poor man didn’t even know that would be prostitution. See what I mean family is protected thats who are protected and they protect there own ass. Nepotism plays a big role also at the Sheriff Dept. what about when DS vanessa, Smith and Sgt. Christopher, Cook got into a verbal altercation and lil sister vanessa went to big sister Lt.Smith,Brenda and complained that Sgt. Cook was fucking with her and she want it to stop. So Lt. Smith went to Sgt. Cook about fucking with her lil sister and thats when Sgt. Cook and Lt. Smith got into a verbal confrontation and DS. Smith had to be moved to stockade. So paula you are not the only misfit.
I don’t condone in the former Deputy Griffith-Levene conduct because I believe innoncent until proven guilty.Now those tape statement proves that there was conduct unbecoming of a deputy, and you can’t let a inmates get into your personal space. IT’s embressing to our friends and families to be lable as an inmate lover this would follow you for the rest of your life. We as women have to be strong when working in these type of enviroments because it’s a mans world inside of those gates. I don’t blame the inmate because he’s a man and of course when they see women that they haven’t seen for a while they began their plot to get you. You have to be the strong one because you chose this career. First have respect for yourself and know that you are beautifull and, know inmate has to tell you that because you see yourself in the mirrow everyday you put that green uniform on. I have been with the department for over 15 years and a stinking ass inmate can’t tell me shit about there person life or anything pertaining to there life period because i’m not a psychiatrist. I’m there for their care,custody and control. See I’m from the old school Glades Correctional Institution where inmates are already convicted and ready to fuck you, man or women if you slip,they will dip. Because I witnessed it happen to a former Sgt. Marcia, Bolo and inmate Biloduex. Sgt. Bolo had been a Sgt. for over 18 yrs. and lost everything for a Inmate. I will never forget that day while working M-dorm I Observed a male and at the time a unidenified female walking in the view of my dorm heading to the mattress room. I responded to the area to conduct a security check and walked in on Sgt. Bolo and the inmate who was lying on a bunch of mattress getting fucked by an inmate, maybe if she had put some thought into it for example (Sgt.Bolo to L-dorm I’m 51 to L-dorm location.) I wouldn’t have any reason to respond because I would’ve known that it was Sgt. Bolo-Stupo. Thank God for stupid people like Sgt. Bolo-Stupo because if she wasn’t we all probably would’ve been dead because after fucking inmates the next thing they want you to do is bring things in for them like GUNS,MONEY etc. and know Sgt. Stupo had put all our lives in danger and also the outside world if he had escaped with those items that he had no access to. THAT INMATE COULD HAVE KILLED SOME PEOPLE IF HE WAS A CRAZY PERSON THINK GOD IT DIDN’T GO THAT WAY. RIC STOP SUPPORTING THESE SUPERVISORS IN THER WRONG DOINGS. SGT. Most of this information that I have read so far are true statements. PBSO is a really sick place to work, you are constantly harassed by supervisors and nothing gets done about it.Like a previous poster put it “everything gets swept under the rug”. The Sgt’s and Lt’s act like their GODS and are allowed to do whatever they like to deputy’s as well as civilan staff because they know they will get away with it. In order to protect their jobs, subordinates are almost forced into relationships with supervisors and if they don’t comply the harrassment starts. In order to get certain post u have to be in good with a Sgt or Lt or you’ll get throwed to the wolves. The public needs to be aware of the type of sickness that goes on inside those gates. The sheriff ofc. needs a major clean-up starting at the top.
