So, this is why Canadian songbird Celine Dion has been drilling wells all over her Jupiter Island property! Now that the water can flow, worker bees are laboring extra hard on her double-wide beachfront home’s lazy river and main pool, according to these aerial pictures taken Monday. Still to come, the water slides!

This is a classic example of man’s inhumanty to dolphins! The poor animals will be wallowing in the surf with their dolphin brood wanting desperately to enter what they believe to be “Sea World”. Desperate for free fish snacks and human interaction, they’ll brave the elements and leap on to the hot beach sand in an attempt to squirm into the theme park only to die from dehydration and exhaustion!
Celine needs to think of them and provide handicapped access for them.

Look how many people she is employing! Thank you Celine!

Yes you too can blacktop over your entire property. What is point of having a piece of land like that if your going to pave over the entire thing. This just completely validates Her total lack of appreciation of nature. Maybe it is still work-in-progress, but it doesn’t appear so.

Totally gaudy and residents must be laughing at her “VEGAS” looking McMansion. I am glad everyone is working over there but in the end she is building something that will look more at home in Vegas than Jupiter Island.

By the way, lazy rivers/beach entry pools are always flops in residential applications. They guzzle water due to the fact they can’t collect rainwater because of the beach entry design, no edge on that side. Heating them can also get real pricey due to the fact they have tremendous surface area causing heat loss from the wind coming off the beach.

A rectangle 20 X 50 with a picture frame deck would be much more classy and resellable than the waterpark idea.

How did the permits for this get throught the water management district? With all of the drought issues I wonder who got paid off this time?

  14. Comment by luckydog — November 3, 2009 @ 6:21 pm

Good for her! bad for all the suckers who paid $100/ticket to see her in Vegas and buy her music.

  15. Comment by josh — November 3, 2009 @ 6:22 pm

I’m sure it’s not going to be ‘blacktop’. It’s looks like its in the works to be a beautiful backyard for her family. Regarding water, lazy rivers are shallow & narrow. I would bet that a 20×50 full size/depth pool would come close to the same amount of water necessary. Again, her business, her money, our economy she’s helping. I love reading the jealousy in some of these comments. If you had it, you’d probably do it (or something else elaborate) too.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children.

And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.

And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Is a waterpark in your backyard good for resale? Doubt it, but hey its her money. I guess the environment is not her friend. Starange, aren’t Canadians big into the earth?

  18. Comment by Wasted Money — November 3, 2009 @ 9:22 pm

Josh needs to brush up on his math skills. Volume = Length X Width X average depth = cubic feet. Figure out how many gallons in a cubic foot and multiply.

Lazy rivers and shallow beach entry pools have huge surface areas (a 20 X 50 is 1,000 sq ft of surface area).

This pool will need daily care, thousands of gallons of water per month to replenish evaporation and hundreds of dollars in electricity. Big waste of money for the 5-10 pool parties it will have per year.

The smartest guy here is the guy building it, he will make all his money up front and walk away from this monster headache leaving the owners holding the bag.

  19. Comment by Hayley — November 3, 2009 @ 10:54 pm

she has hundreds of millions of $$$. She won’t get a headache from the upkeep of the pool.

She isn’t concerned about HER carbon footprint, is she? Yes, it’s her money and she can do whatever she like with it, but get real—can’t a normal house ever do for these people? What a waste! Every piece of land must be covered at all times—stupid Floridians covering up everything!

  21. Comment by Jenisa — November 4, 2009 @ 8:06 am

Don’t be concerned about how Celine chooses to spend HER money. She has worked hard for it. She is a very charitable person and has done her part in helping others. She has a family and enjoys spending time with them, she should be able to enjoy them and her privacy too. Do you think Celine would ever be able to enjoy a lazy river with her family in private? NO!She would be mobbed the whole time. I wish I could afford to do the same, I’m sure my family would too.Jealosy get you nowhere in life,so stop hating and Celine hope you and your family have a blast;)

  25. Comment by Zoe — November 4, 2009 @ 2:02 pm

Seriously… people think this house is going to stand out and be a laughing stock? Obviously you haven’t visited that exlusive part of Florida. I’d say there isn’t a “typical” house as far as you can see.

She deserves this and all the wonderful things happening to her. They thought this house for her children, they’re going to have a great time in that waterpark!! we love you Celine!!

  28. Comment by John — November 4, 2009 @ 10:33 pm

Celine won’t have a problem with water, guys!! She had 3 wells dug so it’s not an issue. That water will also be used for the air conditioning units. So it seems Celine is being careful after all.

I’m sure the place will look great once it’s all complete. People - stop the nasty comments. Look she donates tons of money (AND TIME) to charities ($1 million to New Orleans, remember?) and she’s the hardest working woman in showbizz (and one of the best voices) so let her enjoy her money the way she wants to. Nobody tells you how to spend yours!

Well, First I must say Hello to my Dion-Ange’lil Family.
I have been to Vegas, to Montreal, and hopefully I might get a invitation to a Home of Royalty. I have been looking for where C’eline may be living in her new home, just to wonder about something I will never have. I am happy for herself and her family, she really deserves everything she has devotely worked for. Celine will always be my friend, she does good things for like the whole world. I don’t know what to say, because I am just so very surprized at everything. Everything is fit for a queen, and that is what my C’eline is to me. I will never find anyone as generous and helpful as she is and has been for her whole life. I want C’elines life to be the best it can be. I am so-so happy about the new baby coming. I prayed so hard for her to become pregnant, and I am thrilled that everything is going her way. Maybe I will be thrilled with a letter or note from her. That would be very nice. OK, I will be closing for now. Have a good day, and you will be blest everyday. I am your friend….Carol

Okay, what I want to know is WHERE is the desalinization plant in the lower picture??? Is it that thing that looks like a gazebo out near the water line? Someone has claimed that she is using only ocean water in her new home and for her water park. Where is the machinery to do this? LOL.

I wonder if the Canadian authorties would have approved a similar project on her property in Canada.
Somehow, I suspect that the guy who gave this project the green light was nearing retirement anyway. Celine, will, no doubt, offer him a job on her road crew.
