My condolences to Mrs. Cole on the lose of her son, Otis. May God comfort her.
The chance of change in a country with so much anger and full of guns is remote, unfortunately.

My sadness for Mrs.Cole too. Our country has changed … and some for the good. But the issue isn’t guns … the issue is the heart and soul. People who have no respect for their own life will not respect yours or mine. I don’t need a gun to kill people … just drive my car into a sidewalk full of innocent bystanders can do even worse. If a person feels their value only comes from the wealth in their bank account, or they believe life after death is impossible so whats the use ….. or they have grown up only seeing the bad in people (kind of like watching a cable news talk show), tragedies like this will continue and will never end.

My heart aches for Ms. Cole and her family. She is so right when she says its time for our country to wake up and change. There are too many stories like this one! My thoughts and prayers are with the family of this beautiful young man.

Improvement does need to happen, drastically. Too many crimes are ocurring and the fact times are tougher than normal, is a contributing factor. Often times these crimes happen more often than not, in Florida. It seems to be the breeding ground for a lot of ill will. We need to reach out to loved ones, especially those who are having a difficult time with finances, their home life and their emotional state. What are the solutions? Best wishes to all of those who are experiencing various hardships. God Bless.

common decency should be guaranteed in this country; a living wage, affordable housing and healthcare. we don’t even come close. what’s shocking is that people don’t go nuts more than they do.

We need your help. Palm Beach County is the 15th most dangerous U.S. city now, and has higher crime rates than Miami. How did Palm Beach County get like this in the past few years? The youth of Palm Beach County are suffering in so many areas; however, what choice do they have if they don’t see proof that they can change? They need to witness a living testimony of peace, security, love, wholeness, and transformation.

Our goal is to have 10 volunteers to assist with the set up of tables and chairs, parking coordinator, serving refreshments, stage set up, and to stay afterwards for cleanup, etc. If you are willing to join our volunteer team, or would like more info on how you can support this event please contact Yachele @ Standingproof@aol.com. We hope you will join us in reaching our fundraising goal. A lending hand can make a difference to the youth of Palm Beach County.

This is a terrible tragedy that happened. Just like the one in Fort Hood. This is a sign of the unfortunate times and hard times people are going through. Many condolences to this young man’s family. This is so sad. I wish we didn’t have to have things like this happen. If someone could have just stopped him before he got to this point this wouldn’t have happened. If we could all just try to help our fellow man a little more the world would be a better place.

@ Realist - You piece of crap you! Is suggesting that this grieving mother return to Jamaica, the best that you could offer? She more than likely came here for a better life, and is now faced with the loss of her son. At no point did that poor woman say that things were better in Jamaica. I can tell that people like you hide behind their computers and spew anti immigrant sentiments that you could never display publicly. You, go back where you came from! More than likely from Stupidville!

Amber as right as you are about Realist paying him any attention is not worth it, you and I know that. God bless and God rest Otis’s soul

I worked with Otis at FPL. Otis always kept in touch with his work friends: updating us on the differnt changes but when he has Daniella he was so excited about his daughter he just couldn’t contain his excitement. He loved his fiance and his family. He wanted what all of us wanted a decent job and to take care of his family. I wish I had a chance to say good-bye the way he died is really heartbreaking. I will never be the same again. When you hear of a shooting you are sad but when it’s someone you know it hurts really bad
Otis take care and walk good till ……

This young man was not a thug, he was not a street kid, he was not a drug slinger, he was at his place of employment when this tragedy occured. He deserves the same respect as any other human being would in this situation. Only the good die young. R.I.P.

Jason Rodrigues,Judge Walter Komanski is your 1st judge, you have one more to face who has greater power than Judge Komanski. Killing a man still did’nt get you your job back. Funny it was a black man and no one esle. Why not just take your on life? Why did someone have to die because you where fired from your job. I bet that person is still living who fired you ah? But in one point of what life you have left, your going to ask your maker to have mercy on your sorry, poor, weak soul.

May God be with you Mrs. cole in your time of bereavement. The shock of such a needless act is so saddening. Daneicka was a student of mine and I pray God gives you all strength. People who knew your son only had wonderful things to say about him. You did a wonderful job raising him. “Wait on the Lord, Be of good courage and he will strengthen thine Heart.”
