Funnyman Rob Schneider’s interview on the Wild 95.5 morning show last week has put co-hosts Kevin Rolston, Virginia Lang and Jason Pennington in the national limelight.

Schneider cut short the already-infamous live banter fest on West Palm Beach’s station and left in a huff after Lang walked out on the comic, mumbling: “I quit this bitch!”

And after the video of the ill-fated interview spread on the web, the King of All Media himself weighted in on his Sirius show this morning. Howard Stern sided with the diminutive Schneider, saying that the locals behaved like small town amateurs. Stern called Virginia’s colorful co-host, Jason Pennington, a d…head.

“That’s awesome,” Pennington gloated.

See the video here.

Schneider, an alumni of Saturday Night Live who went on to the big screen in flicks like The Animal and Deuce Bigalow, was at the station Friday to hawk his weekend gig at The Improv in West Palm Beach’s CityPlace.

Schneider, however, got ticked off that a previous interview ran long and that he had to wait in the stations’ parking lot.

At one point, Schneider told Virginia on the air: “I make a lot more money than you. I can buy and sell you, and people like you.” What’s more, the actor kept calling the threesome “a-holes.”

“He was pompous and condescending to the staff even before the show,” Lang said, adding that waiting in the parking lot had been Schneider’s choice. “Then we started going back and forth on the air. I was devastated. That’s not what we do. We don’t fight with people. He was a jerk. I just had to leave the studio.”

One highlight: When Schneider put down his headphones and walked out, Pennington announced: “Elvis has left the building. Uh . . . Make that, little Elvis has left the building!”

Who's right?

why should they show him deference anyway? He’s crap. Kevin, Virginia and Jason = FUNNY!!!!! And Howard Stern is a crass moron. He’s the definition of “d@@khead”.

95.5 is wild?!?!??!? Its friggen talk radio for 90% of the time. I challenge anyone to find a song being played during the moring drive.

These douche bags are exactly why I have satellite radio!!!Seriously what over inflated ego’s THEY have! Rob you are awesome way to show a little restraint!!!

Who’s the D-Bag in the 561 hat? We suck again!!!

  5. Comment by Hoppeer — November 17, 2009 @ 4:00 pm

Those Dj’s were a-holes, especially that annoying douchebag in the hat. I will never listen to those thin-skinned,psuedo-talents. Rob wasn’t a jerk at all. Just goes to show you how radio is saddly lacking for on-air talent.

  6. Comment by what!! — November 17, 2009 @ 4:03 pm

Maybe he can use his money to buy some class, he was a guest there to promote his show so he could make money. Who cares what show he was on, we are all locals and this is how he treats the people that make him money? Screw him, no talent idiot anyway.

  7. Comment by Angela — November 17, 2009 @ 4:19 pm

What isn’t shown on the video is the first few minutes of the show where he makes fun of Virgina’s voice, talks crap about how he had to wait in the parking lot. He took a coffee mug..come on dude. Everyone needs to listen to the audio from the program…not just the sensored video.

  8. Comment by Russ — November 17, 2009 @ 4:19 pm

Wow, obviously the people that side with the DJs on this s**t station are mis-informed, and only heard what they wanted to hear, or were told to hear. Honestly, I couldn’t hear a word Rob was saying over their childish commentary. And, I agree, this is why I ALSO listen to satellite radio. A bunch of frickin’ no talent, hack DJs on regular radio.

I suggest that you all go and listen to that interview again. I guarantee that if anything like that happened to you, you wouldn’t have taken it as gracefully as Rob did.

Wild 95.5 is a joke, like every other radio station out there. No sense of humor, nothing original… its all bathroom mess!

(those siding with with the shit dj’s will not get that joke)

  11. Comment by Da Hater — November 17, 2009 @ 4:35 pm

That show is terrible and rob was not wrong at all. They kept sayin they have no interviews that goes good. Well, no wonder why. I would rather wreck my car than listen to them. Thats why theres the love docs. If virgina had done a line before she went on maybe she would have been in a better mood.

  12. Comment by Minnie — November 17, 2009 @ 4:44 pm

    This is breaking news? LOL

  13. Comment by matt — November 17, 2009 @ 4:47 pm

The djs were out of line. I feel their ego’s are what started the whole mess. Jason and virgina are looseing alot of credibility. kevin is a good host and if he wants to move up in the business he needs some better side kicks then them. Their egos ruined a good interview and something they could actully put on the resumes one day. good jod d- bags

Thanks Hose B…another winner on your hand. Are you serious…it’s your job to report on C-list talent on a morning show that 100 people listen to. Please get a real job, you no talent DB. Go put on your bling and Ed hardy shirt, and cruise around Atlantic looking for local trash.

  17. Comment by Shawn — November 17, 2009 @ 4:59 pm

What a terrible morning show….Perfect reason why satellite radio is the best

  18. Comment by Rachel — November 17, 2009 @ 5:04 pm

I didn’t hear the morning show fiasco, however I did see Schneider at the Improv on Saturday nite. He was awful! Many people walked out toward the end and it seemed like he cut his act short because of this. What a disappointment!

  19. Comment by HEATHER — November 17, 2009 @ 5:12 pm

I hate that everything I have rad about this topic is making that jason guy look like anything more than the puke he is. he needs a real job and virginia just followed in his footsteps. Everyone should listen to the whole recording because he told them he was only kidding and its not like they dont talk like this on a normal basis. these guys are classic for sizing up people before they even know them. their just your typical jerks who run their mouths and cry bc they cant talk the comedian heat. they knew bringing on Rob there was a posibility he would be like that. I didnt hear him say anything someone else would have said. I wouldnt wanna be invited somewhere and left hangin. people hav things to do and he is one of those people and virginia and jason thought they could just do what they wanted and make people wait. they both are terrible at their jobs and need to be replaced ASAP! i gave up that show so long ago because of JASON mainly. Hes a total peice of crap!

  20. Comment by Roxane — November 17, 2009 @ 5:13 pm

Wild 95.5 was so ridiculos! They really showed no class or intelligence what so ever! When a celebrity agrees to participate on your show, show them some respect (such as their time). I cannot blame Rob for being irritated with you three morons, you are late then you have no real questions for him. No wonder he felt like he was being jerked around! Then you have Jason waving his arms all around in the air like a retarded monkey, he cannot hold a conversation without yelling and speaking like an intellectual. And Virginia - how disrespectful for her as an employee to leave the studio and use profanity. She speaks like she has no intellegence what so ever. I know why Kevin just sat there, he was in complete disbelief -How can this be happening???) Are my cohosts really allowing this to happen??? What kind of morons do you work with Kevin? You knew that by being quiet you didn’t want to be a part of that nightmare!

  21. Comment by Tyler — November 17, 2009 @ 5:14 pm

I’m with Stern, these guys are morons. The guy with the 561 beanie needs to do us all a favor and off himself.

  22. Comment by Louisiana disowns virginia — November 17, 2009 @ 5:22 pm

This blog confirms that WPB is irrelevant. The stupid bunny site that posted the video has a 20:1 ratio stating the obvious. This got attention because it was covered internationally by Stern. It is why I am here. Keep up your celebrity sightings and other small time WPB past times. Rush is a resident go kiss his behind and count that as relevant. Yeah i am bored while I listen to the rebroadcast of Howard. Please keep Virginia, we do not want her back in Louisiana. If I can find out who her relatives are have them thrown out too.

  23. Comment by Iwasthere — November 17, 2009 @ 5:28 pm

To shut everyone up, I was there for the interview. I was outside hoping I would get to meet Rob and get his autograph. Besides Rob throwing a fit because they interviewed someone else before him and throwing every curse word out there in the parking lot where teenage fans look in awe. Rob ignored every person out there stating he is to good to be with low lives. Fans asking Rob for an autograph or a picture and Rob turning each person down with such ignorance was totally uncalled for. Adults take off work to meet their idol, teenagers miss school to meet Rob and they all get greeted with the grinch who thinks his shit dont stink. Considering the economy and people taking off to see Rob, I know many have lost respect for Rob.

    GO WILD 95.5

  24. Comment by mark — November 17, 2009 @ 5:28 pm

Who listens to that 95.5 pop music crap station anyways. I’ll take Big 105.9 and 98.7 The Gater all day long. Paul and Young Ron rule.

IWASTHERE… boo, hoo. Why are these people idolizing Rob Schneider? They have to be complete moron’s! They probably deserved to be shuned… if they idol Rob Schneider… i can only imagine that they must look like. Their inteligence level must rival a beet.

  27. Comment by Heather Bee — November 17, 2009 @ 5:33 pm

I had the wild 95.5 on my FB and all the people on there accept me though Rob was wrong, Im incredibly happy that people on here have showed they actually listened to the whole thing. Jason and Virginia we’re so loud and obnoxious that no one could hear Rob saying Im joking and do you wanna move on, maybe you could have some papers with questions on it for me….and hes so right! what kind of morning show doesnt have even the smallest of questions lined up and ready for a comedian? Then they got mad because they didnt like what he ultimatly ended up talking about bc their questions either were terrible and they seemed like they were trying to degrade him by asking what lister a-d was he, and rob nice enough said lets not do this i dont like to rate myself. that was a pleasant suprise and they STILL didnt like it. what kind of people are jason and virginia. i cant stand those two. jason makes me wanna drive my car into the closed tree and virginia makes me want to sick q-tip soaked in gasoline in my ears and light them!!! the wild show should be kicked off the air alone for how they MURDER OUR MUSIC!!!!!!! stop speeding music up so you have more airtime to bitch and complain!!!!!!

  28. Comment by Roxane — November 17, 2009 @ 5:36 pm

Riv Goshen - you are an IDIOT!!!
Please tell me that you are NOT agreeing with Wild 95.5??? The live interview speaks for itself! Noone is saying that they are idolizing Rob, but come on 95.5 are MORONS!!! WTH allowed for them to be on air??? LMFAO!

My disappointment is with Jose. He really writes totally pro local boy& girl stuff, but when you listen & watch, the local boys& girl were aggressive, rude all about me and never gave the guy a chance. They went heavy nasty way before the quest. They acted like they were whats important. Never every listen to that bunch!

Wow, I can’t understand how so many people can hear the same thing and come up with something different. You say you heard the whole thing. Well, how did you listen and think Rob was anything but a jack a–. I can buy and sell you, or whatever he said. He needs to buy some class and manners. Go back and LISTEN, then if you still think Rob was correct maybe you have issues too. Fame doesn’t mean you can treat people like they are unimportant or lesser than you.

  34. Comment by Seraphim1524 — November 17, 2009 @ 7:47 pm

Rob Schneider is awesome. If you look at the tape again…he acted like a gentleman and took the high road. Its hard traveling and being on the road and then you get up early to do a show and have 2 dj’s yell at you and be rude to you. Come on. If this was fake..it looked like it when the B&$%#^ lady got up and walked out…not a good actor at all!

It just goes to show, Jose Lambiet listens to Howard and chooses to go outside of this piss-poor local market. All these clowns are just trying to be provocative in a sad attempt to “Be like Howard”. There is only one Howard Stern you jerky “Morning Zoo’s” There isn’t one worthy talk show on the local dial. Everyone should do themselves a favor…Get Sirius satellite radio!!

  37. Comment by JGP — November 17, 2009 @ 8:15 pm

Oooohhh, Rob Schneider is mad at them…BIG DEAL. Hello, it’s Rob Schneider.

The guy’s career has been a failure compared to other SNL alums like Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, etc., and it’s obvious that he’s a little sensitive about it. Saying things like “I could buy and sell you” is just plain obnoxious.

So maybe Kevin shouldn’t have asked “Do you think you’re an A, B or C list actor” immediately after Schneider threw his hissy fit. But c’mon it’s not exactly like Schneider hasn’t had these run-ins before. I seem to recall a similar incident when Roger Ebert criticized his movies.

  38. Comment by Dave — November 17, 2009 @ 8:27 pm

Please, are you kidding me or what ? The only jerks in this story, are the three talentless dweebs on their joke of a radio station “morning zoo” or however the f**k they refer to their abortion of a program. Who the f**k cares what any of them have to say, or what their opinion on anything is. They appeared clueless as to what was going on right in front of their freakin’ idiot faces…..It’s called SARCASM you stupid a** holes !

  39. Comment by Kevin Vincent — November 17, 2009 @ 8:43 pm

The “Wild” morning crew owe Mr. Schneider an apology. He was a GUEST in their studio and they treated him like garbage. Regardless of his level of celebrity, a guest is a guest. They need to learn to act like professionals and show some respect.

JOSE where did you get the prejudicial questions for your survey. Rob Schneider. “He’s a star and deserves VIP treatment.” What does that have to do with Our locals treating him like dirt. Listen to the tape!

  44. Comment by Tony — November 17, 2009 @ 9:28 pm

Jose— totally horrble post ( and I like almost all of them ) way too ass kissing of our local people.

And as a local, I am embarrased (spelling?). The DJ’s really put a black eye on WPB with their unprofessionalism. I’d like to see the suits send a message and fire them. They made their bed and now should be forced to sleep in it. With the power of the mic comes resposibility and if the talent do not know the boundries the suits need to enforce accordingly.

And 95.5 is a suck-ass station anyways— time for a new competitor to come in a clean their clock.

I’m and MP3 and XM listener myself-

    t.

  45. Comment by Old Gator — November 17, 2009 @ 9:35 pm

Your right Tony, Jose wrote a very prejudicial thing and the tape tells a totally different story! Our locals were rude self centered jerks!

  46. Comment by LSD — November 18, 2009 @ 12:30 am

I saw him at the improv after the interview and his act pretty much confirmed that he is a douche. He seems to think it is good comedy to talk about how much money he has. Thats his act in a nutshell. Its almost like he thinks he is Thurston Howell III, lovey. The guy has an ego problem and its clear to anyone that sees him in person. I would have kicked his A out of my place, too.

  47. Comment by Traci — November 18, 2009 @ 2:14 am

What a bunch of radio HACKS!
    Typical Florida LOL

  48. Comment by Somnolent — November 18, 2009 @ 2:21 am

I’m no terrestrial radio specialist, but my meager advice would be to consider reducing Ms. Emphysema’s role in the show; traffic, weather, or maybe she could shut up long enough to make those guys a sandwich and then she can settle in her chair and enjoy a Midol smoothie.
Seriously, though, they should be able to recognize each guests’ personality and flow with it. ‘Cause really, the only audience that would find them entertaining is the audience that patronizes free radio.
    Just sayin’…

  49. Comment by Todzilla — November 18, 2009 @ 2:59 am

Stern is right. Those people are douchebags. Their show isn’t funny. It’s a second rate WRMF.

Jason Pennington was a douche to Schneider, who was right, they had nothing to do. Interviewing a dancer from This Is It? Are they daft or what?

    WTF cares about that?

Thank God Bubba is on down here. I can’t stand The Buzz after they went bonkers about Rise Against refusing to do the Bakesale after the Army Recruiters sponsored it.

Plus, 95.5 plays awful music. Who actually listens to that shit?

  50. Comment by mich — November 18, 2009 @ 6:13 am

  51. Comment by BILLYC — November 18, 2009 @ 6:33 am

Rob was ok. DJ’s were dickheads.

  52. Comment by Susan — November 18, 2009 @ 9:01 am

I thought the DJ’s actually acted professional and when they felt like they were going to act unprofessional they left the set. Schneider acted like a self absorbed jerk. He really isn’t anything but a comic who makes fun of himself. Put him in a serious movie and he couldn’t pull it off.

  53. Comment by treeb — November 18, 2009 @ 9:53 am

This whole thing is hilarious. Rob Schneider is trying to big time someone. That is too funny. He is such a D-E list “celebrity” it is comical. Rob Schneider?? He is a no talent hack and that is pretty well proven. You couldn’t pay me to see any of his obsurd movies, or god forbid his stand up. I don’t know where he gets this inflated opinion of himself or his talent. By the way I think its funny that all of the people beating up on the DJ’s are Howard Stern Fans. That alone explains the intellectual level of the reaction.

  54. Comment by jake — November 18, 2009 @ 10:04 am

There are two issues here, first I am sure Mr. Schneider had more than just one interview set or other engagements for that day. The three morons at Wild 95.5 should have been fired years ago infact they should call the station BORING 95.5. These three are not funny and all they do is the same crap over and over and over. Rob is right, they lack content big time. They should have adheard to their schedule and respected Rob’s time..

  55. Comment by jake — November 18, 2009 @ 10:06 am

  57. Comment by Tony — November 18, 2009 @ 10:30 am

I thought Rob was 100% right. U don’t make a guess wait on you. & if U had to. U should have tried to work in how sorry U were that U did. And the radio crew should have tried to work it out 2b funny that it happened as well. They seemed to just stick the mic in front of Rob and say make it funny. I think “wild crew” needs to work harder @ being funny. And it was 100% their fault for pushing this interview the way it went. It’s your show. And it’s their responsibility to set the mood. In the long run this will only hurt the “Wild Crew” show. It was not @ all, entertaining maybe. But for what it should have been it was a big disappointment!

  58. Comment by nikko — November 18, 2009 @ 10:30 am

So much for our local ” talent”… they looked like uneducated backroom low budget off the street amateurs. They deliberately tried to annoy this guy in order to create better ratings. They should stick to TPing local officials homes and throwing up over the side of boat charters. They are an embarassment to the airwaves and to our community… who says ” I quit this bitch” anyway???? Maybe some guys hanging out in front of 7 11 with a Colt 45? Why would anyone with an IQ over 46 listen to this show?

  59. Comment by Elisa — November 18, 2009 @ 10:59 am

I did not hear this radio show myself. But I too was at the Improv on Saturday night and was appalled by his performance. The first two comedians were so funny…especially Owen Benjamin. The audience was laughing hysterically. Once Schneider got on the stage however, the whole demeanor of the audience changed. He was not funny whatsoever, was crass, crude, rude (kept checking his watch) and made horribly inappropriate attempts at jokes using the “C” word and making fun of people who lost money through Madoff’s ponzi scam. In effect, he bummed us all out. I would never pay to see him again. If not for the first two comics, I would have demanded my money back!

Rob Schneider is completely in the right here. Making him wait 45 minutes in the parking lot? Are you kidding? That is the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever heard. Not only that, but when they did get him in, they had nothing to say. Howard is completely right, they did a terrible job.

  62. Comment by david — November 18, 2009 @ 1:35 pm

The funny thing is, these radio flunkies are crying because Rob was so terrible. These people make a living making fun of people. Howard is soooo right, they just dont get it. 10 years from now, Rob will still be funny, Howard will count his zillions with his beautiful wife and these so called dj’s will be sitting at TGIFridays, talking about how cool they were and not tipping their waiters. Well done and congrats on your fleeting fame.

  63. Comment by VIRGINIA — November 18, 2009 @ 4:10 pm

We are so sorry about this. I was going thru withdrawls from my coke habit. And Jason has a small dick and is mad at the world. Rob is a great guy. We were in the wrong and we do have a terrible, terrible show.

    Virgina, from Kevin and Virginia

  64. Comment by Mary — November 18, 2009 @ 5:05 pm

We saw Schneider at the Improv on Sat eveing…what a waste. Oh SO NOT FUNNY. I’m not surprised to see something happen like this to DJ’s. So full of himself.

  65. Comment by cheryl — November 18, 2009 @ 5:18 pm

Rob was set up by the on air “talent” and obviously the promotions department and management, or lack of it. They were all in on the bit. Not entertaining at all. I hope the Improv never sends them another interview or tickets or spends money advertising. Rob may not be A-list but, he does make more money than Virginia & has more class. Hopefully the Improv will choose wisely.

  66. Comment by Elaine — November 18, 2009 @ 8:40 pm

While I agree that Rob was going on a little long about waiting in the parking lot, I felt that Jason & Virginia blew it way out of proportion and ended up sounding very defensive and very rude. Rob & Kevin were the only cool heads in that foursome. I ultimately felt sorry for Rob who was trying to remain professional, while Jason & Virginia had their respective tantrums & I listen to the show often & really like the three DJs. They were way out of line this time, Rob was a guest on their show! Their behavior was childish and embarrassing.

  67. Comment by Mike Montana — November 18, 2009 @ 9:50 pm

Clearly the morning show crew are a bunch of unfunny hacks. Ultimately this and only this is the ONLY national attention they will ever get. Congrats! You did it! Unless you’re a koolaid drinker of this horrible morning show, I can’t quite fathom how you could listen to this interview and side with these half wits. Stern Rules! Ba Ba Booey to yall!

  68. Comment by it's me — November 18, 2009 @ 10:29 pm

I heard it on Howard Stern. I could never stand Virginia anyway and I really thought they blew it way out of proportion. A lot of the time, Rob Schneider was trying to explain himself, and they were all over him. They are big fish in a small pond. Kevin was pretty good — not as out of control as the other two. I feel like they should have acted more like professionals. He was a guest in their studio AND a comedian — have a sense of humor and treat him like a guest. That’s why I will continue to listen to Howard every morning.

The interview doesn’t show how he was acting like an a**hole prior to the actual interview and in the parking lot. He is a C listed celebrity who didn’t want to wait outside and didn’t want to let it go. He use to be cool and funny but now he is a little too contempuous. I’m with the local DJ’s on this one!! They are the HOT entertainment in WPB. I’d rather watch Jason Pennington do stand up than that tiny little man any day. Virginia can sing me to sleep with that sexy, smokey voice, Kevin…you can date my dad if you want too. Just sayin. Jose, keep up the good work my man!!

I hope these morons love West Palm Beach radio because their careers just peaked.

Calling Rob a no-talent is nuts. I don’t even like him, but even a moron knows he has much, much, much more talent than the azz-clowns on this inconsequential radio station. If your celebrity guest is being an ass, it is still the DJ’s job to get a quality interview out of the celebrity. They blew it. They blow.

You have a hacky show, and you behaved like amateurs with a giant chip on your shoulders because you know that your not funny or talented. Rob tried to help you out and bail out your boring show and you just didn’t get it.

PS The broad on your show has the worst accent I’ve ever heard. Rob has a career, you don’t. He’s successful and your not try to get rid of the chip on your shoulders and move on to a new career. You are not good at radio, you don’t get it.

Jesus what a horrible way to treat a guest, you guys are fucking morons. And dump that annoying cunt of a cohost.

I whole heartedly agree with Howard Stern’s response. They are frustrated small market morning radio hosts with career’s going absolutely no where. They had no clue that Rob was just playing with them and couldn’t get into a rhythm with him because they are talentless. Good luck with a life-long career in a tiny radio market. You’re going no where.

Rob was just busting balls. The lack of professionalism of the hosts is amazing. The girls phone went off, they weren’t prepared, they were off schedule, they spelled Rob’s name wrong, they didn’t barely talk or guide the interview, they had plenty of dead air, only two weak questions, they lost there composure, and even mentioned several times that the interviews with comedians NEVER work out. Rob tried, but they didn’t. If you think that it was Rob’s fault, I feel sorry for your mother. BTW, the story above and the voting is completely one sided.

I have watched the entire video, where Rob was being totally rude. It was actually a good 8 to 10 minutes before they finally had enough. Rob isn’t even that famous, and to stick up for his total rudeness is a disfavor to him. When people get any kind of fame they lose touch with the reality that all of us are used to and this can be very bad for them. He needed to be told, and they did it and it obviously wasn’t fun for them. How can anyone agree with Rob here? The guy chose to wait in the parking lot, like he was to good to wait in the studio and then if you watch the video he did everything he could to bitch and make everyone feel like crap and they actually went against the grain and told the celebrity where to go. That is unusual for the media, and now I see why, cause all these people act as though he is a saint. Good for the crew of the radio show.

WHO THE F*CK CARES what size dick Jason has and what drugs Virigina does??? There job is to entertain you on the radio. Not to be a Mother Teresa figure or have a King Kong dick! If you don’t like them, turn the damn dial!!!
