As a medical equipment provider I see the feds now want to tax equipment manufacturers to lower the cost of equipment…WHAT? We have taken payment reductions for the last 10 years now all of the equipment is made in China because the U.S. makers couldn’t sell the equipment due to the insane cuts. 2100 pages of framework for healthcare reform sure sounds like it lower costs….NOT!

The people here who don’t see healthcare as a commodity don’t understand what it is truly like in a socialized medical system. Everyone gets the same garbage for healthcare - unless they can afford to come here or go to a private hospital. The quality of care IS a commodity. Face it - you cannot take down the wealthy to raise yourself up. In many countries where they are “healthier” it is a cultural thing about food. In the USA, we have the freedom to eat junk food all day long, smoke cigarettes, or anything else that would be considered a drain to the socialized medical system. Of course, we all are paying for the poor health of everyone whether we like it or not because of insurance costs, but the government takeover of the system will not solve the problem. Healthier choices by people would - and it appears that some of these morons who want socialized medical care are taking their fair share of illegal drugs. If you really want freedom, reform the medical insurance system, not the delivery of medical care directly to the individual. That is too much control over your life.

Our healthcare system is not perfect, but its the best right now in the world. Am I correct Canada & the UK ???

I hear all this stuff about minimum wage. I made minimum wage when I was 15 working at a roller rink. If you are an adult making minimum wage and have a history of working in jobs that are only worth that you must have squandered your formative years, not taken advantage of opportunities or you have a degree in psychology. Go back to your mother’s basement with your Netflix subscription and get out of the way of the rest of us that want to do better after all it is success and profit that are taxed to pay for the rest of you.

A family of four with parents in their 40s can get insurance for about $400.00 a month. Average cable bundle, cell phone bills, internet etc. about $450.00 a month yet we choose these over private health ins. The gov’t plan is $416.00 a month PER PERSON or $1664.00 which constitutes a “Cadillac” plan now. This is achieved by taxing every man, woman, child and illegal $266.00. 300,000,000 people taxed to insure 16,000,000. Small business and self employed will pay twice or be fined. All enforced by the IRS, you gotta love the gov’t.

Most people that want NATIONAL healthcare, not reform as WE speak, are lazy slobs who either do not contribute to society at all or ignorant boobs who would rether drive their prius instead of buying insurance like a responsible adult.
