Nearly three weeks after the car crash that eventually unmasked golfer Tiger Woods as a serial philanderer, his wife is trying to do what a mom and her children should do: live their lives. Elin Nordegren, 29, the Swedish nanny that Woods married five years ago, has been spotted in an around Windermere several times since the weekend. On Sunday, she took the children — 2-year-old Sam and 10-month-old Charlie — to the birthday party of one of Sam’s little friends. And Tuesday, Nordegren took Sam to a Thai place for lunch. By the way, Nordegren’s wedding band has disappeared from her finger.

I am so proud of Elin. She’s got her head held high. And life goes on for the sake of her kids.

Elin is not hiding, unlike her disgraced husband. Nor does it seem she feels she must flee. Good for her. I hope she washes that man right out of her hair, and if she wants to take the kids to Sweden, her husband may protest, legally, but practically? No court in the world would give him custody.
She’s a helluva woman. Her personal strength and dignity required to continue moving forward is amazing. She’s a class act and I know she will bounce back from this, hopefully minus Tiger. Good luck to you Elin.
of all the women in tigers life (and bed) there is only one that is the vision of class and grace and true beauty and that was the one he married. here’s hoping elin finds a true gentleman with class and grace and kindness to match her own and she and her children can enjoy a life of happiness and true love far, far removed from the sad and sorry example of a man she fell for.

Elin can go out in public with her head held high because she does not have scars and bruises to prevent her from entering the public. It’s almost a forgone conclusion that she abused her husband (who refused to fight back), and regardless of his shortcomings, does not deserve to be abused. If the case were the other way around, I’ll bet ya a million bucks (cash) that he would be locked up. Double standards are dangerous. If she wants out, file for divorce, and be done. Tiger should get custody from an abusive mother.

I doubt very seriously that she took off her ring to “prove” anything to the media. She did it for herself. Id’ like to point out that everyone saying that she was/is abusive are just speculating. IF she broke out the vehicle’s window- sho cares? He got off easy, she could’ve aimed for the windshield or the driver’s window. She didn’t. As far as her love for him- only she knows if its repairable. You might want to consider that this picture may not be of her- it could be her identical twin. Not far fetched, I have had my identical twin “stand in” for me on a couple of occaisions and vice versa.

my point really is that unless you “walk a mile in someone elses shoes” one really cannot know and in this case especially at this point in time. there are very few people i know of, and none personally, that are billionaires, young, sports champions, travel the world, world famous - and especially all of the above - who would NOT give in to temptation
likewise, it may well be that TW should not be married, he might not be suited to it, or to accomplish his goals and pursue his lifestyle - i am sure he could adequately provide for his young family

Please don’t pull any posts, because if people feel that they may encounter some racist comment(s), then don’t read the posts. People should be able to express themselves openly and freely as long as words don’t get out of hand.
Take note of the undercurrent here of Elin getting away with aggravated battery and the double standard the world has for this. Though Tiger has a major problem for some time to come (years?), and he deserves the blame, Elin shouldn’t strut with the baby in front of the photogs and all the world like this. This could flip into a PR nightmare for her. If she tries to take the kids to Sweden, like #3 suggested, she’ll get skewered in any US family court…believe it.
If Elin divorces Tiger I hope she is able to find the time to return to school like she had always hoped. She is a smart lady, she will do well. I wonder what will happen with the house in Jupiter?
