I just read this article ...sorry to say i was so late..there are some comments that i agree with and some that i don't. Bottom line, Publix , I'm sure didn't do iton purpose. I think they forgot, as many of these posts, that there are a still a lot of people who remember where we came from and a lot of people that don't care. You must never forget and never "not care". History has a terrible tendency to repeat itself. I can almost bet that most of the apathetic comments are from the younger generation and that is a terrible thing. I agree, I feel that the schools haven't been teaching History like they did 30 years ago, if it did, then you wouldn't have so many of these comments. In this last 30 years...there is a serious decline of Patriotism ,Government Support and just plain decency. As far as the comments about the "Jews" making the most of these comments. I'm sorry, how do you know this?. I don't see any comment in here that points to Jewish people. This country is a Melting Pot, always has been and always will be. We need to respect everyone

More Horrors have been done in the name of Christianity than any other Religion.More horrors have been commited in the name of Isalam than any other Religion these people have been killing one another Before Christ. You Obviously did not lose any family or freinds in the trade towers, or maybe you just don't have one once of the red, white and blue running thrugh your veins. Wake up and Smell the coffee because its burning everyone of us right now.

Oh by the way. I can tell that the radio host's show is on the East(liberal/progressive)coast by most of the comments I read before mine. All I can say to the host is keep up the good work. Even though it may seem like your alone in the world, your not. Boy am I glad I live on the West coast of this great state. Cracker till I die.

This is just another form of disrespect for America which seems to have been brought about by the need for the grocery store to capitalize on individual segments in the American culture instead of properly identifying traditional holidays used for observance and/or otherwise. Someone mentioned it wasn't suppose to indicate days of remembrance. I doubt they left out Memorial Day. I'm sure they heavily advertise that day to get people into the stores to buy stuff. If they choose to include other days of celebration they should only be included in a minor way otherwise it's very disrespectful to the days that are celebrated or observed for a reason true to America. If they wish to include other non American holidays they should call it a world culutral calendar in which case the holidays noted should include all cultures not just the ones the creator can indentify with since America is essential made up of most of the cultures found in the world. A proper calendar should honor all traditional American holidays and important observed days by prominently marking them on the calendar.

The posters who blamed the radio host and other "racists" are obviously very young - and quite obviously unaware of American history.

They would do well to open an American history book - and while they're at it - look into their own family history to learn if any of their grandfathers, uncles or other relatives were murdered at Pearl Harbor.

Brave soldiers at Pearl Harbor died so that these sophomoric youngsters would have the right to make their naive and foolish statements.

OK so they did not put in Pearl Harbor Day, it is upsetting to true Americans. However maybe what they should do next year is put in Pearl Harbor Day and EXACTLY HOW MANY YEARS AGO IT WAS so that the idiot that thinks it was over 100 years ago can get his facts straight. I wonder is he one of those college wonderboys that doesn't know where Pearl Harbor is!!!

The idiot who thought this up and the one who "approved" it should both be fired. Thousands of American's died due to the war that ensued. Does
Publix callous disregard mean for "remembering" mean that in a few years, we should "forget" 9/11?
This is AMERICA people. GOD BLESS THE USA.
Please do not shop at Publix & let them know why!
And by the way, if you do not like it here-don't let
the door hit you on your way out!
