Super Bowl XLIV: Country star Carrie Underwood’s airport gauntlet

Carrie Underwood, who’ll singing the national anthem before Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIV, got a rock star welcome to the area Wednesday afternoon — and she didn’t like it!

Underwood, 26, who sported her $150,000-engagement ring from Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher, was greeted by a swarm of paparazzi at Miami International Airport.

Underwood carried a rat terrier while walking through the terminal, and screamed at the paps that they were “scaring my dog!” She also hid her face from camera-wielding fans, and refused to sign autographs.

To add insult, the former American Idol star couldn’t find her limo and was forced to take a good old-fashioned, sweaty Miami cab.

awww, poor Carrie. He wittle poochie got scurred! GET A LIFE! I am getting tired of these people who are out of touch with the rest of society. Post has a story about 97,000 people out of work in Palm Beach County, and this chick and her “situation” at the airport is news? Way to go post!

F-king prima donna. A little stardom and she believes her own hype. What a shame. If it werent for her “fans” she would be nothing and she couldnt even sign an autograph. What a joke. Keep up the good work Carrie.

Remove the anthem from the program and this nonsence goes away. 60,000 + people “getting their beer buzz on” could not care less.
