Polo boss John Goodman talks about the sport of kings in recent video

International Polo Club Palm Beach owner John Goodman, the multi-millionaire Texan who makes his home in Wellington in winter, talks about how much polo means to him in this rare video.

Goodman, 46, also owns and plays on the Isla Carroll team. Named after his wife, Carroll, the team is one of polo’s best.

Goodman drove his Bentley convertible into 23-year-old UCF grad Scott Wilson’s car early this morning, killing him. Goodman was treated for minor injuries at Wellington Regional Medical Center and released. PBSO is investigating if alcohol had a role in the deadly crash.

There’s no doubt that alcohol and cocaine played a part in this accident. He better get a minimum 25 years for this. Let’s hope the judge does not allow him to buy his way out, and that the tragic family does not accept any payoffs. These people are not invincable and need to pay for their crimes.

Whoa, big fella. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Where are the results of the blood test? Did somebody rich hurt you? I believe a drunken NFL player ran over and killed a pedestrian in Miami a year or so ago and got 30 days in jail, but there was no cocaine involved. Don’t get me wrong. If he was drunk, he pays. But at least let the evidence come in first before hanging the guy.

I think there is more than enough evidence against this guy. He was even caught before so this is not a first time DUI offence. However Roy Black will drag this out and the jerk won’t get his sentence for 2 to 3 years.

The PB Post needs to stop glorifying this MURDERER and put some pics up of the poor kid who lost his life. John Goodman never worked a day in his life and inherited everything he has. Scott was someone who put himself through college and worked to get where he was in life - at the threashold of starting a great career. I hope justice will prevail. If this guy buys his way out of this I will be ashamed to say I am an American.

I am hoping justice will prevail with this case. It would be really sad to see someone go free after forever altering a family’s life. I saw the father on the news this morning and he seemed to be very level-headed.

Goodman and Wilson were Gay lovers. This is finally coming out via investigation in Los Angelesand will be published in the Enquirer May issue. Wilson and Goodman were gay lovers and had a lover’s spat at Goodman’s house earlier that evening. They were both coked up. Wilson left in anger and began driving aimlessly about Wellington when Goodman called him on his cell phone. Goodman left the bar he was at, and they were both drving to meet and reconcile when, tragically the accidident occurred.
