New papers: Tiger Woods had pain pills before Thanksgiving crash; Domestic violence cited

According to new documents released in the Thanksgiving car crash that eventually brought golf prodigy Tiger Woods back down to earth, Woods’ wife handed ambulance personnel two bottles of pain medicine which she told them Woods took earlier in the day.

The paperwork, released by the Florida Highway Patrol to the Orlando Sentinel today, also shows that Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, tried to ride to the hospital in the ambulance with Woods.

The paramedics, however, barred her from entering, saying that the case was domestic violence-related.

The state troopers’ notes also intimates that the hospital where Woods was taken after he hit two curbs then a tree while pulling out of his driveway in Windermere, went all out to protect Woods’ reputation.

On the Friday afternoon of the crash, according to the Sentinel, troopers went to the Health Central Hospital in Ocoee and asked for medical records that could have shown whether Woods was DUI. An emergency nurse there told them that the records department was closed until the following business day, Monday. When they returned at 7 a.m. Monday, troopers were told the computer system with medical records was down.

Within a week, women who said they had affairs with Woods were coming out of the woodwork, and Woods went into virtual hiding, including sex rehab, until he made his televised apology Feb. 19. Some believe he may return to golf next month at the Masters.

Woods suffered minor injuries in the crash. He was cited by the FHP for careless driving and fined $164.

    DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, well well well.
OOPPPSS, Tiger busted again for liying……

Oh the Hospital went all out to Protect Woods, MORE CORRUPTION and interfering with a Investigation and that is a Criminal Offense.
What officers were at the scene, what are their names and badge numbers and why was he not tested on the spot or when the Ambulence got there and took his blood for Alchohol.

Anyother person would have been tested on the spot, taken to the Hospital then taken to jail.

I am hoping a full investigation is launched and all involved are prosecuted.

Woods is a Drunken Sex fiend loser and his wife tried to cover up the Domestic Violence.

Tiger woods Lied to EVERYONE AGAIN on National Television. Everyone knew the Apology was FAKE just like him.

    What a loser

Big whoop, I had pain pills for a week after I tweaked a nerve in my back. Thank God I didn’t have to boogie the hell out of ’scorched earth’ Elin’s way.
I’m glad it’s officially domestic violence related now, some bloggers kept insisting ,”no proof”.

  3. Comment by Scooter — March 12, 2010 @ 3:13 pm

Most of us figured out that this was a DUI case and that the FHP were negligent in their investigation. It is also important to note that when FHP went to the Woods home the next day to continue their investigation that they would have to reschedule another appointment. If it was you or me there wouldn’t have been an appointment for them to make. They would have already been pounding our doors down and doing breathalyzer and blood work since the hospital hadn’t released them. Tiger would have been sitting behind bars for apparent DUI and released after posting bond. This and the big shot from Wellington are too ” too big to put in jail” because of their status in our communities.

    Wow? Tigger lying? Surprise surprise.

So in addition to accepting NO QUESTIONS at his last staged press conference.

The part about alleging ELLLEN was innocent…is just another bunch of hogwash….

    Shameless

Can we just leave this alone and move forward? This is not news anymore. People seems to always have a fascination in someone else’s business when there is nothing going in in their life. Leave it all alone and move forward. How many of us can say we have done something wrong but because this is Tiger Woods and a celbrity we seem to think he is no different. Well, he isn’t……………

    american pariot:

You just ranted like a maniac over something that doesn’t concern you. Something of an unhealthy obsession, I’d say.

As far as the paramedics barring Elin, that’s pretty common if there is even a slightest indication. Funny how your name is american patriot, as America I know, we are convicted in court, not by a hunch by paramedics.

As far as the medical records, there is something called HIPAA. Medical records are private. If the cops had probable cause, they can ask for a warrant for the medical records. If a cop just walked into a hospital and got your medical records just by asking, would you be upset? You probably would rant just how unamerican that is.

    To Ron Jeremy,

I couldn’t disagree more with you. I could care less about Tiger’s promiscuity or even the domestic abuse, but it is my and everyone else’s concern, how the authorities and the hospital behave to cover this all up. Maybe you like to live in a world where the rules are differernt for some–and one where you think only people with no lives care about this. Try to expand your limited thinking on the subject and don’t get distracted by the noise.

There is a story here. Just not the one you seem to be focusing on…

One last thing…it amazes me how quickly we forget that drugs were involved just because they were a ‘prescription’. Legal drug addiction–that’a all that is. On top of that. I guarantee he used his insurance to purchase his drugs. I wish I could do that when I buy my nick at the bodega. LMAO.

Listen here, I am sick and tired of the Woods business. Know who can honestly say that they have NEVER committed SIN? NO-ONE! If so, then cast the first stone and I promise you a cinder block will be the results!!! Get a life….) So far as a cover-up…) oh don’t tell me if you had the money The Woods have you would attempt the same? Do you have facts or you are assuming? Think about that one because you know what ASSUME means? So what if he lied, as if U don’t lie or even go to lenghts to protect a loved one?? Hmmmmm I thought so…) As long as he did not injure or cause harm to no-one leave The Woods ALONE!!! Now on the other hand, my empathy and sympathy goes out to the family who lost their son in the recent accident with Mr. Polo. In my humility!!!!

  11. Comment by gotta tell the truth — March 12, 2010 @ 4:55 pm

The first responders knew that Elin had chased and bashed Tiger… but they were told to keep it quiet by higher ups. They told several people the truth before the wall was erected.

As for the medical and hospital records… jucius correct. There would need to be a warrant to get them from the hospital and since there was none, the hospital acted correctly. So the question is, why wasn’t a warrant issued? Because Tiger’s influential people acted quickly and prevented it. Same thing about searching the house. No warrant, no search. Tiger and Elin weren’t required to talk to police either, under the circumstances. Catch 22, without evidence obtained by a warrant or from eye witnesses, there were no exigent circumstances to force a search or interview.

You stupid ignorant jerks can not keep your mouth off Tiger Woods, if it was someone with no money you don’t have time for, but let someone have money and all you jealous envious jerks can’t do nothing about it. He should have a great laugh off all you jealous people who all you can do is talk. People do what they want when they want. What type of business do you all have??? Why don’t you leave the guy alone? I think it’s pathetic that the public needs to track Tiger Wood’s doings. I personally do not care what the guy does. He made several mistakes. He is trying to right his wrongs. Leave the guy alone and his family. All the news media people, you are not perfect either. Report something that has real substance. Stop being The Enquirer!

Shows once again that Tiger is a low-life, in spite of the image he and his posse want to portray in public. Yeah, all those who say leave Tiger alone, I’m sure you’ll be at his first tournament, licking the ground where he walks.

  20. Comment by Low-Life — March 12, 2010 @ 7:10 pm

It’s not called Sexual Addiction, it’s called Adultery.

It’s not called being a hero, it’s called being a scum.

Shame, shame, shame on him, on Elin for taking him back for financial purposes (stupid, she would have been financially well-off without him as well, she just didn’t believe it), and on the FHP for not taking out a warrant on the blood work.

Speaking of, why can’t they now? Why can’t they redeem themselves and ask for the bloodwork now, to file charges now? Is the statute of limitations a matter of hours/days for that, I assume?

Shame on the first responders for not filling out the incident report fully, and on their higher-ups for insisting on coddling and editing.

I can’t stand to look at Elin. She has gone from a victim to simply being a horrible person herself. I had had faith in her - oh well!

  21. Comment by Ann Dee — March 12, 2010 @ 7:44 pm

Here’s a thought. Why did the hospital lie to the police, IF in fact they did? Both times when the FHP asked for his med recs they should have replied not without a warrant, IF they in fact did not have a warrant. Sometimes these new media devices skip over facts.

  22. Comment by dave — March 12, 2010 @ 8:04 pm

The FHP troopers requested a warrant be issued for standard dui testing, based on Mrs. Woods statement and handing over the Ambien and Lorcet prescriptions at the scene. Some assistant DA, citing insufficient cause(!?!), refused the troopers request. This assistant DA should be investigated. If the hospital records can still be obtained and do indicate dui, then Mr. Woods should be investigated just like any other suspected dui driver. These same idiots who are blaming the FHP for bungling the investigation are the same chickens who will be crying for police at the first sign of any personal danger. I have never experienced anything except professional behavior from the FHP. Even when I was arrested for dui of a prescription drug.

  23. Comment by Ronnie — March 12, 2010 @ 8:21 pm

People get a life. None of this is anyone’s business. So what if he took pain pills. There is no proof that he was under the influence. So far as the domestic part goes, take care of your own messed marriages and relationships and stop worrying about those of other people.

Domestic Violence was ALLEGED. Has it been proven? Were charges brought?

It’s just a deputy surmising, not proving anything.

But yet, once a thought hits the media…it’s believed to be true even though no charges were filed.

    So the deputy was WRONG!

hopefully she feel strong and be honest to the world, especially women, about the dangers of drugs, and domestic violence.

I think Rhianna (sorry for the spelling) is one of the strongest ladies around. She has handled her domestic violence issue with class, grace, strength and beauty.

She is a beautiful example to all women and hopefully Elin will prove to be as strong a woman.

Why are so many wanting Tigers head? He is human being as we all are, but famous as we all are not. He made a mistake, as we all have in the past and I am sure that some posting here is for the same thing. If the police had done us a favor, and I am sure some on this posting have had one in their lifetime, we would be thankful. He is addressing/working out the issue with his family. It is a personal, not a public issue. No one other than himself was physically injured. Granted there is more mental angush than most of us will ever have to deal with, it needs to be the Wood’s family’s to resolve, not the world’s problem. If all on this post would take an issue of the world’s, or better yet our homeland’s issuesand put all the energy we are putting in the Wood’s issue, we would actually be doing the Country a service rather than adding fuel to a family’s personal issues. Granted Mr. Woods is at fault (as he admitted) we should try to concern ourselfs with our own family issues, and leave Mr. Woods to work out his own, unless he personally as for our assistance. And for the record, I am a white male/53 years old/ and do not play golf (anymore due to back issues) and have been married to the same beautiful lady for the past 29 years. I hope some people will concider this statement before they post anything negative about Mr. Woods. Let’s beat on the child rapist, murders, etc. etc. and leave a man that has made a huge family mistake to work out his on problems.
    Thank you for reading this.

This is much to do about nothing. It has already been reported that his wife handed policeman some pills and indicated that he might have taken them. There was a BAC did at the hospital which was .000. It is standard for cases in which Domestic Violence is suspected to separate the husband and the wife until authorities can interview them separately to prevent the possibility of one spouse pressuring the other to not cooperate or recant original statements. Until we know anything further the guy hit a tree on his property and cheated on his wife. WOW!!!! Calling him a loser is funny when you are sitting here typing about a GOLPHERS sex life as if he is a priest. Reserve that judgement for yourself and those that are put in positions of trust i.e. Presidents; Priest; Teachers;. When in the hell did we start to care about golphers extra marital affairs anyhow. As for that Tiger is a liar are you trying to suggest that yo are not. I pormise you lied about something today, even if it was nothing else but the fact that you are continually regurgetating this Tiger thing out of envy and not some since of moral righteousness. All have sinned and come short. Some of the same people reporting on Tiger’s sexual infidelity was sneaking in an affair in the twon they traveled to tocover the Tiger story.

This is an issue between his wife and him. tiger is a father, a husband and a family man like most of us. They are having problems now like most marriages do from time to time. i wonder if we counted the number of lies that are being told on this page would it even be worth reading. oh what is that in your eye…lol

Why don’t the media and everybody else leave Tiger and Elin alone. This is a matter between him and his wife. People are quick to use something negative about a African American person but if he was white this would have been left alone. Look at all the other celebrities that have cheated. David Letterman, Bill Clinton, and the list goes on and on. It was spoken for a while and then dropped. Leave Tiger and Elin alone please. Find something else to do.

I dont care or know Tiger (cheetah) whatever they call him these days. I dont watch golf or care. But this society needs to wake up & grow up & try to place Morals Integrity Honor & Respect back in this crazy world! Im telling you if we dont we are all doomed to hell… Perhaps it is a conspiracy to see America fall from within… The actions lately of some of these so called Politicians CEOS Celebrity Atheletes etc is absolutely appalling & sickening to me. I could care less about who they are & what they do, but They will all answer sooner or later for their transgressions, trust me I dont believe I ever heard of a Get of Hell Free Card. Have You? Could we all just clean up our acts & care about our fellow man instead of putting the Screws to everybody.
