Ski hero Lindsey Vonn schusses to water park

Winter Olympic hero Lindsey Vonn is headed to this area.
The most successful American female skier ever is slated to sign autographs and hang with fans April 10 at Rapids Water Park in Riviera Beach.
The Alpine specialist, and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model to boot, won one gold medal in downhill at the recent Vancouver Olympics and three consecutive World Cup championships.

But her skiing prowess isn’t the only reason why the folks at the water park are flying her in.
The water park is making a habit of inviting big time female athletes who also look good in swimsuits to usher in the season. Car racer Danica Patrick and model Kathy Ireland were there in the recent past.
“We picked Lindsey for her success,” said park spokeswoman Tina Hatcher. “She’s a great role model. Plus, she also appeared in a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue (holding skis in front of her bare breasts).”
She is a good role model. A woman who is successful in what she does through hard work and who also, BTW, looks great. Healthy,not hanger thin, you can’t see a bone sticking out in her body. I hope girls will take her as a role model.

JP; spoken from someone who obviously has never skied. Both of them are athelete’s and neither one could ever do what the other one does. I’ll bet if we gave Tebow a year to practice Lindsey could get down the hill faster backwards than Timmy could. So JP get Timmy’s jock strap off of your head and get with reality.
A role model for what? Just another woman with no self respect who take off her clothes for money. Doesn’t her ilk realize that after a while, of of the nudie models look just about the same–cheap.

I wouldn’t consider Lindsey a “hero”, but to make it to the Olympics and win a gold takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Lindsey is an awesome athlete just as much at Tiebow, and she shows you don’t have to be a butch to be a female athlete. I hope more girls will pursue their dreams because of Lindsey, and as long as her pictures are tasteful, I don’t have a problem with it.
