When she showed up for a private dinner in Palm Beach, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi walked into the home of businessman and Democratic moneyman George Cloutier with a security detail 12 strong, mostly US Capitol Police.

There were four additional Palm Beach cops. And two sheriff’s deputies.

Oh, yes! Two police boats in the Atlantic Ocean, across the street from Cloutier’s house.

And with 18 guests at the dinner last weekend, the wingding had fewer guests than lawmen!

Pelosi shepherded the groundbreaking healthcare reform from a bill into law last month, and she and some of her Democratic colleagues have received threats.

Rapids Water to Jersey Shore: Take a hike!

JWoww, too rude for South Florida (click on the photo for more)

Riviera Beach’s Rapids Water Park is the latest in a lengthening list of South Florida businesses that banned MTV’s Jersey Shore from filming on their properties.

And Page2Live knows why!

I got a hold of the location contract that the producers of the hit show are trying to shove down the throats of business owners before the reality series’ self-professed goombas are allowed into restaurants, clubs and hotels — and it explains a lot.

I’m told the contract alone — not the stereotyping of Italian-Americans and blatant sexism as it has been said — has been shutting doors to the show throughout the area as filming for Season 2 started in Miami Beach last week.

The document basically gives Snooki, JWoww, The Situation and the others the right to do anything they want on a property whose owner gives up the right to hold producers, Double Guns LLC and MTV, liable for any damages.

On his recent appearance at Downtown at the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, former University of Florida QB Tim Tebow helped Fort Lauderdale loverboy Ian Lis propose marriage to Sarah Springer. If I were a wicked guy, and seeing that there aren’t too many NFL teams beating on former Gator Tebow’s door, I’d say this might be the most action Tebow will see all year!

Fugitive lawyer Brook Fisher nabbed in Michigan

A disbarred West Palm Beach lawyer once arrested while partying in a James Bond getup was nabbed again.

This time, he was picked up by Michigan cops on a Palm Beach County warrant.

Brook Fisher, 46, was wanted on two counts of fraud for allegedly stealing clients’ money in his trust funds.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Teri Barbera confirmed the existence of an active arrest warrant against Fisher, but the paperwork won’t be released to the public until Fisher, who’s being extradited, is booked.

I’m told by sources that Fisher, wife Marcella, their three little kids and two giant poodles took off late last year in a 1950s-style camper pulled by a black GMC Yukon. The trip took them to a lakeside cabin in the sparsely-populated Grand Traverse County. That’s where he was picked up by the Michigan State Police a week ago.
