Greg Norman’s ex-wife: You stiffed me!

Double bogey for Jupiter Island golfer Greg Norman!

Not only is he dealing with his separation from new wife Chris Evert, the Boca Raton-based former tennis star, but now he’s got a ticked off ex-wife to deal with.

Palm Beacher Laura Andrassy says the Great White Shark stiffed her in his yearly payment of their divorce settlement.

She contends in new paperwork filed in the Martin County courthouse in Stuart that his $2 million wire transfer to her June 15 was about $72,000 short. She asked a judge to force Norman to pay up, or order arbitration.

According to their contract, the missus, a former flight attendant, will be $103 million richer by 2023 as a result of the agreement they signed when they were divorced two years ago.

So, what’s $72,000?

“It’s a substantial sum of money,” said Andrassy’s lawyer in West Palm Beach, Jack Scarola. “I have no desire to annoy Mr. Norman. But he has an obligation to meet his contractual commitments. If someone owes $72,000, just pay up.”

Norman’s divorce attorney, Jeff Fisher, declined comment. But in his response filed in court, Fisher wrote that Norman and his ex promised they’d seek arbitration for disputes instead of the court system.

Andrassy’s recent motion to enforce is nothing more than a “method to feed information (usually of a disparaging nature) about the former husband to the media.”

The $72,000 alleged shortfall, according to court papers, comes from the calculation of Andrassy’s share in Norman’s Colorado ranch, Seven Lakes Lodge. She’s supposed to get close to $780,000 a year for the ranch, but got much less.

Incidentally, Norman recently put the property on the market for $55 million.

The motion reopens the saga of golfer/vintner’s divorce, which was filed in June 2006 after Andrassy accused him of cheating on her with tennis champ Evert. Although Norman and Andrassy were officially divorced when he married Evert in June 2008, they’ve been ironing some of their differences since.

So, this is why Canadian songbird Celine Dion has been drilling wells all over her Jupiter Island property! Now that the water can flow, worker bees are laboring extra hard on her double-wide beachfront home’s lazy river and main pool, according to these aerial pictures taken Monday. Still to come, the water slides!

Calling Celine Dion a water hog did have some effect after all.

Now that she’s having a water park installed on her Jupiter Island property — that’s two giant pools (one for the guests, of course), several waterslides and a lazy river — Dion’s doing it somewhat sensitively.

(See exclusive pictures of the construction here)

Last year, as the area suffered through one of its worst droughts, the Canadian songbird became the area’s heaviest user of drinking water. About 6.5 million gallons flowed through her nest, and that was just during construction. Cost the singer of My Heart Will Go On $36,343, and beaucoup public scorn, even if it was partly due to a broken pipe.

Now, La Dion told Martin County she’s having American Drilling Services drill wells on her $12.5 million beachside property. That’s three wells to extract water, and three to re-inject some of it, post use, back into the ground, according to the paperwork.

The water will not only be used for the waterpark but also to cool the home’s air conditioning units.

By the way, Dion is having a reverse osmosis system installed to purify the water 98 percent on its way to her water park.

Water flowing without scrutiny? Priceless!

EXCLUSIVE: Chris Evert’s ex, Andy Mill, says his life’s good!

Tennis legend Chris Evert’s ex husband said Monday he’s happy.

And that’s somewhat of a novelty for Andy Mill, a 1970s Olympic skiing hero and a respected area deep-sea fisherman.

Three years ago, he inked his side of his divorce settlement agreement with Evert in a Fort Lauderdale courtroom.

Depression set in.

Mill didn’t mind standing in Evert’s shadow. He once drank champagne in one of her high-heel shoes in public at the Boca Raton Resort.

But when it came to an abrupt end, Mill had a hard time.

“I cried routinely for close to three years,” the 55-year-old Mill said in an exclusive interview with Page2Live. “I loved my family. I loved Chris and our three sons and my life with them.”

And Mill, who now alternates between homes in Boca Raton and Aspen, Colo., still angrily blames his then-best friend, Jupiter Island golfer Greg Norman, for bringing misery to the life he loved.

Norman and Evert, who left their respective spouses for each other in 2006, announced Friday they were separated – 15 months after getting hitched on Paradise Island, The Bahamas.

These days, however, life is good for Andy Mill.

He’s engaged to, and lives with, a 40-year-old Aspen homemaker, Debra Harvick.

She, he says, is the loyal partner he always wanted.

“We do everything together,” Mill said while waiting for a flight to Florida so that he can check on his kids during the current firestorm. “We go hiking. We go bow-hunting. We go fishing. We go camping. She’s beautiful and a world-class chef. Deb has two kids herself.

“I didn’t know this when I got divorced, but I ended up happier than Chris, or Greg for that matter.”

When asked if he was surprised when he heard that Evert and Norman were on the outs, he said: “Nothing surprises me with those two. Look at the trail of destruction they left behind them for this fling.”

Despite the bliss, Mill says, he’ll never be able to forgive Norman, with whom he and Evert vacationed often. Once, Norman flew birthday boy Mill on his private jet to Augusta, Ga., to play a round of golf at Augusta National.

Comparing Evert and Norman to “two alpha dogs going at it,” Mill said there’s no doubt they’re headed for divorce court.

“And a divorce is like a golf swing,” Mill said. “It always makes somebody happy.”

Chris Evert says she’s fine after Greg Norman split

She’s not returning calls about her split from fresh, new husband Greg Norman, the Aussie golfer. But Boca Raton resident tennis star Chris Evert did leave her Palm Beach Farms home Saturday, telling paparazzi “I’m fine.” Evert and Norman announced Friday that they separated 15 months after their wedding. The two divorced their previous spouses to be together. On Saturday, Evert had two of her three sons in tow to go shopping in a surf shop. She added: “I just want to spend time with my family.”

She could have said: I told you so!

She didn’t.

Laura Andrassy, the woman dumped by links Leviathan Greg Norman for new wife Chris Evert, took the high road Friday when she talked exclusively to Page2Live about her ex-husband’s sudden announcement that he and Evert have separated after just 15 months of wedded bliss.

“I feel sorry for the children,” Andrassy said by telephone from her new home in the Hamptons. Andrassy, whom Norman paid $103 million in the divorce, divides her time between Palm Beach and Long Island.

“The kids (Evert, 53, has three teenage boys with ex-husband Andy Mill, an Olympic skiing hero) are the ones who are going to deal with another breakup. They just went through the same thing with their mom and dad.”

Does she feel sorry for the 54-year-old Norman?

“Not really,” she said. “He made his bed. Both he and Chris are adults and they were supposed to know what they were doing. But they were in the throes of lust and weren’t thinking (when they got married).

“But being with Chris is what Greg wanted. Well, he got it.”

Andrassy attributed the shocking split, announced Friday, to the fact the Great White Shark and the tennis hall-of-famer jumped into another marriage too quickly.

Evert’s divorce was final at Christmas in 2006.

Within months, she and Norman were officially an item. They were married in The Bahamas in 2008, weeks after Norman and Andrassy were pronounced divorced after 25 years.

“You just can’t get in a relationship like that so quickly,” Andrassy said. “You go from a 25-year (marriage) to something new slowly. You need to get to know each other first, and they didn’t do that. This was puppy love.

“You know, like in high school. When you just can’t live for five minutes without the other person.”

Andrassy said she had no idea Norman and Evert were on the outs and was as surprised as the general public when a friend called her to tell her.

She wouldn’t speculate on the reason for the separation, but several issues emerged in recent months.

First, according to public records, Evert and Norman, whose worldwide corporation is based in Jupiter, never moved in together. Their respective drivers license still list their pre-marital addresses, Jupiter Island for Norman and Boca Raton for Evert.

Then, friends of the two have described them as both having huge egos that, at times, have clashed.

Evert rarely missed a chance to rib Norman in public. In 2007, she called the Great White Shark a “big chicken” before the media in South Africa.

So, does Andrassy — who called Evert a “predator” on TV last year — expect to see Norman crawl back to her?

“No way,” Andrassy said, “that wouldn’t happen in a million years.”

Norman, who had arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder this week, is listed as a celebrity player at Evert’s yearly charity tournament next month in Delray, but it isn’t known whether he’ll show. Neither he nor Evert commented.

What went wrong between Norman and Evert?

Stick a fork in one of sports highest-profile couples.

Just 15 months after their romantic wedding in The Bahamas, golf legend Greg Norman and former tennis champ Chris Evert have separated.

In a joint statement, the couple said: “We will remain friends and supportive of one another’s family.”

A source close the couple told Page2Live the two gave “a great deal of consideration” before separating.

“They haven’t said whether they’ll divorce,” added the source, who asked to remain anonymous.

The announcement came three days before Norman is to captain the international team at the Presidents Cup in San Francisco. Traditionally, players’ wives take a visible role in the tournament but the Great White Shark showed up this morning alone.

Donald Trump, Stephen Ross, Henry Kravis among locals on Forbes 400

Eighteen area residents, 15 in Palm Beach and three on the Treasure Coast, are on Forbes magazine’s list of the 400 richest Americans.

Published yesterday, the list of U.S. oligarchs is still topped by Microsoft’s Bill Gates, the $50 billion man whose people have been shopping for houses in the Jupiter Island area, and Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffett, second with $40 billion.

Koch

Bill Koch

The only Palm Beacher (actually, he’s a snow bird) in the top 10 is energy mogul David Koch, who’s ninth with $16 billion. The poor guy lost 42 percent of his wealth in 2009, but his modest home here is a $37.2-million beauty on the ocean.

Combined, Forbes reports, the 400 have lost $300 million during the past 12 months to the economy, scams, divorces, bank collapses and other calamities.

But don’t play the violin for the fat cats just yet. They’re still worth a combined $1.27 trillion.

Other locals on the list everyone would like to be on:

#35, John Kluge: The 95-year-old full-time Palm Beacher once was considered the world’s richest man. But his empire has been in free-fall, mostly because of bad restaurant investments. He’s still worth $6.5 billion, Forbes says.

#77, Henry Kravis: The Kravis Center in West Palm Beach was named after his dad. The leverage buyout king is down to a mere $3.8 billion, but his Palm Beach home on North Lake Way is worth slightly north of $50 million.

Lambiet’s Lunch: Theresa LePore’s brother nabbed; S.C. First Lady moves out

Joe LePore

Joe LePore

– The man arrested in a mysterious attack on a cabbie in West Palm Beach earlier this week has been identified as Joe LePore, brother of former Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Theresa LePore. Joe Lepore, 52, an electrician, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief after West Palm Beach police arrested him Wednesday morning. A taxi driver was trying to turn around in LePore’s driveway on Avenida Allegre when LePore allegedly hit the cab, causing damages. When a cop arrived, LePore allegedly pulled a gun and threatened both the cabbie and officer. “I felt threatened,” LePore told Page2Live. “I had my 357 in my pocket but I didn’t take it out.” He was released from the county lockup late Thursday after paying his $3,000-bond. In 2004, according to Palm Beach County court records, LePore pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. A judge withheld adjudication. “He has anger management issues,” said sister Theresa. “The cab driver was sitting in his driveway blowing the horn, and he is very protective of his property.” Theresa’s name became intertwined with the disastrous administrations of George W. Bush when, in 2000, her office printed ballots so confusing that some Al Gore supporters voted for the wrong candidate, ultimately, Bush’s election by a hair.  (With The Palm Beach Post’s Eliot Kleinberg)

Jenny

Jenny

Jenny Sanford, first lady of South Carolina and a member of a prominent Martin County family, moved out of the governor’s mansion in Columbia today. Sanford is the long suffering wife of Gov. Mark Sanford, who made international news in June after he disappeared to Argentina to tango with a mistress. The Sanfords eventually ended up pow-wowing about it at her dad John Sullivan’s home in Hobe Sound. Mark and Jenny just returned from a vacation in Europe. But AP reporters saw Jenny and several women move boxes out of the mansion Thursday. Jenny says she can be found in the couple’s vacation home, 125 miles away from Columbia.

Livan

Livan

– Another athlete’s selling SoFla real estate. Livan “I lo’ you, Miami” Hernandez, the 1997 star pitcher for the World Series winning Florida Marlins, is selling his Miami Beach condo. He’s willing to lose a few bucks. According to South Florida Blockshopper, the beachfronter is on the market for $945,000, nearly $40,000 less than what the current New York Met bought it for last year. The listing agent is a former star of Donald Trump’s The Apprentice, Katrina Campins.

Bill Gates in low-ball land-shopping spree?

Gates

Gates

Here’s the good news: Multi-billionaire Bill Gates may be shopping for waterfront properties in Martin and Palm Beach counties, with $65 million to spend.

Here’s the bad: His peeps are low-balling the pants off sellers.

A wet-behind-the-ears analyst with the Seattle-based Cascade Investment, Gates’ investment arm, signed contracts on three luxury cribs on Jupiter Island and two in the Town of Palm Beach over the past two months. A real estate source said he brandished papers showing the availability of a $65 million line-of-credit.

The youngster, Justin Hance, 25, claims to be with the firm Front Range Investment in some cases and Lake Clarke Holdings in others.

But here’s the Fact: Hance’s office is at the Kirkland, Wa., headquarters of Gates’ Cascade. The richest man in the world reportedly sunk half of his $40 billion fortune into Cascade, to diversify into ventures other than his Microsoft. Also involved in Cascade is the world’s second richest man, Warren Buffett. He weighs $37 billion.

Hance didn’t return several calls. But according to MLS listings, Front Range paid $5 million July 13 for a 5,000-square-foot home at 100 Harbor Way, on Martin County’s Jupiter Island. The Intracoastal property, which is surrounded by sea-grapes and mangroves, had been on the market for $12 million then $7 million.

It doesn’t seem, however, that Jupiter Island will see either Gates or Buffett anytime soon. Already, the property has been put on the rental market, at a monthly season tag of $50,000-a-month.
