Two months before the Miami Heat and its all-star trio — LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh — take on the National Basketball Association, scalpers report ticket prices for Heat games home and away are burning up.

A Fort Lauderdale ticket broker tells Page2Live that some courtside seats for the Heat’s Oct. 29 home-opener against the Orlando Magic are selling for $7,500-a-piece!

“And if the Heat win their first 10-12 games, it’s going to go past $10,000,” said Todd Chitoff of ticketplayground.com.

Nosebleed ducats with face values around 50 bucks are going for an average of about $450 at the Boston Celtics, where the retooled Heat open the season Oct. 26, and at American Airlines Arena for the Orlando home opener.

I set out to hate Star Island, bestselling Vero Beach author Carl Hiaasen’s latest for-adults novel.

I mean, what would a guy who’s been mailing it in to the Miami Herald for years know about Miami Beach’s paparazzi and celebrity culture?

Well, he knows plenty, and he’s not a fan. And that’s a potent mix!

The book, titled after the tony island off Miami Beach that the likes of singers Gloria Estefan and Sean “Diddy” Combs call home, might be Hiaasen’s best work.

It’s sexy calendar season! A day after the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders, firefighters from Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties unveiled their calendar, which includes 20 beefed up, mostly shirtless guys.

The party, at the Seminole Hard Rock Resort in Hollywood, lured several hundred women who hooted and hollered as the boys strutted their stuff and signed their works of art. (Click here for all the photos)

Since 1992, the calendars raised more than $240,000 for diverse charities. The $17, 2011 edition will raise cash for Here’s Help, a group that provides treatment for teenagers with substance abuse problems, and A Safe Haven for Newborn, which works to prevent the abandonment of children.

Now, that’s more like the Sammy Sosa we know! The last time we saw the retired baseball slugger in these parts, last fall, he ignited controversy when he showed up at a party with his face obviously whitened a la Michael Jackson. Above is Slammin’ Sammy lunching solo at the terrace of Carpaccio in Bal Harbour over the weekend. Looks much more like his old, happy self!

The new superstar of the Miami Heat was the subject of a controversial story in ESPN’s Los Angeles website last week about his partying at Tao, a Las Vegas club. The yarn, however, was pulled by the editors.

Three days after former WPBF-Channel 25 anchorwoman Lisa Hayward was arrested for DUI, her husband, Miami’s WSVN-Channel 7 reporter Derek Hayward, ended up seeing the inside of a jail cell on suspicion of domestic violence.

According to the arrest report, Derek, 59, was nabbed by Coconut Creek cops Saturday night after a spat with Lisa as they drove home from a restaurant with their children, sons who are 10 and 13.

An insider tells me the Haywards were arguing about Lisa’s recent arrest when things really got heated up. Derek, who drove, admitted he grabbed his wife by her shirt as she sat on the passenger’s seat, then kicked her and the children out.

He was charged with simple battery, a misdemeanor. There was no evidence he hit her.

Known for his British accent and hard-hitting tabloid-style reporting, Hayward has been a permanent fixture on the SoFla media landscape for 20 years, always at the Fox affiliate.

He and Lisa have been married for 17 years. He once described how scared he was when, in 2008, Lisa stopped responding to phone calls and vanished for several hours after a public appearance. Derek and the Channel 25 brass were alerting police departments alongside I-95 when she popped up about 1 a.m. Her cell’s ring was on silent, and she didn’t realize she’d been receiving frantic calls.

With average attendance in the Major League Baseball’s basement, the Florida Marlins have been bringing an extra ooomph in the entertainment value of a Saturday night at the ball park with concerts and fireworks. So, the fish had rapper and music mogul Sean Diddy Combs do his thang on stage after losing to the Atlanta Braves Saturday. Well, the seats with butts in them were still pretty scarce, but Combs did rock the joint! (Click here for pictures of the show and other celebs in SoFla)

How time flies!

Disgraced former Palm Beach County Commission Chair Tony Masilotti — who pleaded guilty of using his elected office to work on crooked real estate deals that made his family millions — is about to be sprung from the Federal Correctional Institution in Miami.

Masilotti, 55, was sent away for five years after pleading guilty to a corruption-related charge. He was scheduled to be at the low-security camp until Christmas 2011.

Instead, he’ll be in a halfway house, probably at the Salvation Army in West Palm Beach, within the next three weeks.

“I expect he’ll be in West Palm Beach in August,” said Masilotti’s lawyer, Barry Witlin. “He did undergo drug treatment, which gave him quite a bit of time off his sentence.”

Hard to believe, but original Beverly Hills, 90210 star Tori Spelling pens bestsellers these days. So when she’s not battling tabloid rumors that she’s anorexic (vehemently denied by her mouthpieces), the 37-year-old daughter of the late Hollywood producer Aaron Spelling is touring bookstores to sign copies her latest, Uncharted terriTORI. The book provides more of her musings about life as a busy mom in LaLaLand. One juicy note: She reveals how she discovered her castmates on 902110, a hit series through the 1990s, started a secret I Hate Tori club! On Wednesday, Spelling was a Books & Books in Bal Harbour:

So LeBron James, you just signed a $110 million-contract to play basketball in South Florida, where do you go? Why, The Bahamas, of course! Instead of helping out new teammate Dwyane Wade with his Summer Groove Sunday, the Miami Heat’s newest superstar was frolicking on Paradise Island with his baby mama and high school sweetie, Savannah Brinson. The big guy was spotted on the beach near the Atlantis Resort, where the two were with their children, LeBron Jr. , 5, and Bryce, 3. Notice the tattoo on the left side of Bron’s torso and abdomen. It reads “Loyalty.” I’m sure there are a few folks in Cleveland who might scoff at that!
