New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez returned to his old stomping grounds in Miami last month after breaking up with galpal actress Kate Hudson (Almost Famous, Fool’s Gold). He was spotted with a couple different blondes over the holidays but he definitely went solo when Page2Live’s lensman ran into him yesterday at the Gansevoort South hotel in Miami Beach. Rodriguez, 34, often works out at the David Barton gym there.

Jilted baseball wife Cynthia Rodriguez — Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez‘ ex — had tongues wagging last week when she stepped out hand-in-hand with a mystery man.

And Page2Live’s readers spoke loud and clear when 75 percent of the nearly 700 people who took this poll thought that poor Cynthia went down-market in the looks department when she went fishing for A-Rod’s replacement.

That’s unfair, said mystery man, whom Page2Live tracked down at home in Miami Lakes.

Laszlo Fazekas, born from a Brazilian mother into a famous Hungarian soccer family 37 years ago, says he has no interest in comparisons with World Champ A-Rod.

“I’m a private person, so I didn’t make myself known after the picture with Cynthia came out,” said Fazekas, an unwed dad. “I saw online that folks are comparing me with Alex. That’s ridiculous. That picture is an awkward picture from an awkward position. I don’t care what people say. I’m physically fit and I know I’m not bad looking.”

Within minutes of our talk, Fazekas actually changed the picture on his Facebook page to this professional portrait.

They’re now trading for $34,000 a piece.
