Future filmmakers get a taste of fame

With the 15th Palm Beach International Film Festival in full swing, area high school and college film students are the ones who received film awards this morning at Palm Beach Gardens High School after entering a special competition, the Student Showcase of Films.

Silver screen legend Burt Reynolds himself handed the grand prize, a $5,000-scholarship bearing his illustrious name, to G-Star School of the Arts student Paul Halluch. Halluch, 18, has already directed two professional music videos and served as director of photography for a full-length feature, Turkles.
