Vanilla Ice, or Rob Van Winkle as is his legal name, said the DIY Network will broadcast the reality show — “sorta like ‘Pimp My Ride,’ except for houses” — starting in the fall.

The program will feature Van Winkle and his homies working on the property’s transformation.

“The previous owners took everything,” he told Page2Live. “They ripped out mirrors attached into the walls, the fridge, the files by the pool.

“At one point, the house was worth $2.4 million,” said the Wellington native, who has lived in the gated Versailles community for five years.

Van Winkle owns some two dozen rental properties in Palm Beach County.

He plans to re-list the finished property for $1.5 million.

Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan was dropped on the field of Wellington’s International Polo Club Palm Beach by helicopter Sunday for the coin toss of the afternoon’s featured match. Donovan, 41, plays chameleon ex-spy Michael Westen on the popular USA Network series. He’s filming the show’s next season in the Miami area and was accompanied by little-known actress Michelle Woods. Bruce Springsteen kisses some $$ goodbye in Wellington real estate

When it comes to real estate, rocker Bruce Springsteen ain’t The Boss.

The singer of Born in the USA and My Hometown last week sold the first home he bought in Wellington’s horse country — and lost a quarter mil, give or take a couple bucks.

A source close to the transaction told me Springsteen barely ever lived in the 8,000-square-foot, five-bedroom house because he decided to buy a second crib next door three months after his original purchase.

So Springsteen has owned adjacent homes at 3561 and 3581 Ambassador Drive at the Equestrian Club Estates for a year and a half.

Now, it’s just 3581, a smaller (6,600-square-feet) but better appointed house. (Get a bird’s eye view here)

Horsing around in Wellington: Akon’s hip-hop rocks sleepy town

Last night was an unusual night of entertainment at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington.

It started with a $25,000-show jumping competition. There was a little cleanup after the horses. Then hip-hop star Akon took to the stage as the windows of equestrian center neighbors started vibrating.

More than 1,500 people showed up for the party.

Sly Stallone’s dad jumps in John Goodman fray, asks forgiveness for Goodman

Ninety-year-old Frank Stallone, one of Wellington polo’s elder statesmen and actor Sylvester Stallone’s dad, has come out to defend troubled International Polo Club Palm Beach boss John Goodman.

Goodman, 46, slammed his Bentley into the economy car of 23-year-old Scott Wilson in rural Wellington Feb. 12, killing him. And authorities have been investigating whether Goodman, who may have a history of drug abuse and was at two parties before the crash, was impaired.

With no charges filed as the public grows impatient, Goodman has been moving from luxury hotel to luxury hotel in the Miami Beach area and routinely meets with his lawyer in the Magic City, Roy Black.

But in the meantime, attendance at the Sunday games at Goodman’s club has been substantially lower than last year. So the star of Rocky and Rambo’s dad is asking for forgiveness for Goodman. And Stallone’s also asking the public not to take it out on the sport of kings.
